Re: Next Ingerland Manager
All comes down to the FA covering their own back.
Allardyce will spout bollocks about national pride and commitment that the media want to hear. If they qualify and have a poor tournament in two years time, Allardyce will get hammered and we will hear how the players don't try and don't care because they're already too well paid. The FA will largely escape criticism.
If they go for somebody like Howe and have a poor tournament, the FA will get criticised for appointing somebody wo such little experience and an insufficiently proven track record.

I'd love it if the spokesman slipped up and said "I'd like to introduce the new England manager, Mike Bassett. Er - shit! I mean Sam Allardyce! Honestly I meant SAM ALLARDYCE!!"

Re: Next Ingerland Manager
They might as well have picked Nigel Farrage and Nick Griffin as co-managers.
Re: Next Ingerland Manager
Gutted that he's left Sunderland but I think he'll give us an England team to be proud of. Gets teams organised, won't take any shit and is far from the long ball manager he's portrayed as. Hopefully people give the bloke a chance rather than just laughing at him. Best of luck Sam

how do you feel about the moyesiah coming coming to sunderland? could be a great move if you remember what he did with limited money at everton, although critics will say they were a very route one sort of sidesafcftm wrote:Gutted that he's left Sunderland but I think he'll give us an England team to be proud of. Yup! Me Too! Except when they play Wales...Other than that good luck to them.Bradywasking wrote:Exactly the same here..I have often wanted England to win games, was gutted when they lost to Germany in Euro 96 for Seaman and TA.DB10GOONER wrote:goonersid wrote:Good to see our southern oirish lads on here showing their true colours![]()

But no, you're wrong, sid. I'm not one of those Ingerland-haters that keeps SteveO up all night.![]()
I only want them to lose if there are a lot of scum players on the team. Throw a few Guunners in there and I'll cheer them on - always been that way. I love the English game and it is embarrassing to see how the team that represents that game on the international stage has gone to absolute shit.

But I do reserve the right to piss myself laughing at the ludicrous decision to appoint Fat Sam The Pie Molester as manager of a (should be) elite footballing nation....I mean seriously WHAT THE FUCK???

If any other national or self respecting club side appointed Walrus as manager I would find it equally funny...

Re: Next Ingerland Manager
I think with the timing of allardyce's departure he was pretty much the only choice. His style isn't too dissimilar to Allardyce's so he should be able to come in and work with these players, had we got someone like martinez (please god no) then we'd have had to change too much with the season just around the corner. Moyes is also very thorough so I'm happy that he'll probably be able to move quite quickly in the transfer market.Henry Norris 1913 wrote:how do you feel about the moyesiah coming coming to sunderland? could be a great move if you remember what he did with limited money at everton, although critics will say they were a very route one sort of sidesafcftm wrote:Gutted that he's left Sunderland but I think he'll give us an England team to be proud of. After his last 2 jobs not going well he really needs to build his reputation back up and, after being bitten at united, I doubt he'll be in any rush to leave for a big job. That suits us because we need some stability. We're in a similar place to where Everton were when he took over so if he can do anything like that well he'll be a massive success. It'll be hard to do, but at least he's committed and will be desperate to prove himself all over again. I think him and Sunderland are a good match, especially now, so I'll certainly be welcoming him with open arms. Anything other than a relegation battle this session and he's done well, then it's the challenge of trying to stabilise us as a mid table team. It's a hard job but hopefully he'll be up to it, he'll certainly have the support of the fans

How an Irishman could want ingerland to win is beyond me ! They are the spuds of int football and our historical nemesis! When an arsenal player plays for ingerland I go for damage limitation to that player ie he isn't responsible for thed defeat!. I could never ever want anything but humiliation and defeat for any ingerland team from footie to cricket to fucking tiddlly winks s

From the man who watches that over-engineered Yank version of rugby where the game flows for at least 3 seconds at a time !augie wrote:SteveO 35 wrote:goonersid wrote:How an Irishman could want ingerland to win is beyond me ! If you dislike England so much, why do you support an English club?
