Fair fucks to Hull. They played football, they didn't resort to kicking us and they fucking WANTED that win. Fair play. For that alone I hope they stay up.

As for us. We were lazy. We got sucker punched by a set piece and one moment of magic. How did we respond? We abandoned our game and panicked near the end and started hoofing long balls and crosses into the box in hope. Pathetic. That is not a plan B.

This is the perfect example of how weak our squad is. Where was the attacking midfielder to come on and replace a clearly struggling Cesc?? (Not that AW would have brought him on anyway...)

Where was a proper striker to come on and bang in a couple of opportunist goals?

We were beaten by a team that figured out how to beat us and we had nothing in the bag to reply with.

A single result does not a season make, but it can be a fucking key indicator and a heads up to other teams on how to play and beat us... :?

So angry. So embarrassed. Have been getting a steady stream of texts from "mates" taking the piss, NOT HAPPY.

Objectively speaking though, if we'd have taken even half our chances we'd have won the game but through poor finishing and a ridiculous reluctance to shoot we invited Hull to "have a go".

Both Hulls goals were so well placed that Almunia didn't stand a chance, Geovanni won't score a better goal as long as he lives and Cousin could head 100 balls and not hit that same spot.
Take those slightly fortuitous goals out of the equation, we win 1-0, not a great performance but isn't it the mark of champions to win when not playing well?

However, even though we were unlucky, the performance was nowhere NEAR good enough and against better teams than Hull we are going to really struggle
:(

Unlucky? Un-fucking-lucky? :banghead: :banghead: That's a load of bollocks and if you were honest with yourself, you'd admit it. Slightly fortuitous goals? Have you seen Geovanni play before? I can assure you that he's scored those type of goals before. If not then surely you've seen our defenders (and I use that term loosely) at set-pieces in the past?

The truth is we weren't unlucky, we were just plain shit. We didn't force their keeper to make a save until around the 80th minute!! This is at home!! To fecking Hull City!!  :banghead: Sorry matey, but I'm not having that one at all. :banghead:

Having just got in from a manic and a massive drink fuelled night.

Quite simply, i think the players thought this game was 3 points in the bag. Should of played Vela and Bendtner up front from the start. FUCKING SELL THAT GREEDY C**T ADEBARNDOOR, thats all il say on him. Fab looked, well i dont know what to say. Gallas FUCK ME your shit and captain of "The Arsenal" not for me and 99% of other Gooners. Manuel could'nt do much apart from his spectacular effort at saving Geovannis goal. Eboue, wellllllllllllll  he got one of the biggest cheers for going off. No positives really. Fair play to Hull and fair play to ours fans for giving them the ovation they deserved.

So Porto at home  then a tricky tie at Sunderland (late goal kings)

Keep the faith :barscarf:

I still think we can win the title....

The only difference is that I used to believe in our team's capability, now I wish that the other top4 under-perform so that we can stick up with them. :?

What? you don't want us to win the title? or you'd rather we didn't think we could win it?

Sorry, I'm baffled.

We all wish the top 4 will under-perform, but sadly they wont do as much as us as they have the strength in depth, Chelsea battled hard at Stoke and got the win, i sadly cant see us doing that at the moment. Liverpool are looking a half decent outfit, ok they had a blip against Stoke at home. And Man Utd, as much as we hate it, will only come on strong and go on a run. I hope im sooooooooooooo wrong though.

I know I'm quite deluded to believe that we can still win, but if you look at this year compared to last year, every single team of the top4 has struggled at least once against a "lesser" team. Last year we were all already rushing forward! I don't know why but I have the feeling that this year, the middle ranked teams look much more solid than last year. The gap between the top4 and the other teams look much smaller.... Well... Except for Totthenham.

I wouldn't go that far. We have had a poor start yet we are 4th, only two points behind the leaders and we above Man United and Spurs.

Would you of taken that at the start of the season... Actually scrap that... forget about the Hull game and just read the previous bold statement... Would you take that now?
