the bird in the white is actually fitter- the pictures of the one in the pink with her top off reveal a less than ideal set of tits, whereas alison angel is mint!

PS I see Schweinsteiger has again been getting praise as one of the players of the tournament. If you think spurs are deluded, check out this on the NUFC blog AFTER the australia game- the deluded fuckers really thought he might go to a newly promoted side with no money      http://www.nufcblog.com/2010/06/16/can- ... r-on-loan/

Augie, it gets split, so say there are 4 players tied at ....say 6 goals, and you backed Klose at 10/1, you'll get a quarter of that.... I think that's 5/2 - so £10.00 on that...... £35.00 back (or Euro's for you my friend)

By the way, this is how little attention the media pay to the "small" clubs- when discussing Riveros, Pearce just said on the commentary that he has been told the cost was £10 million. He was actually out of contract and thus "He joined Sunderland last month on a free transfer from Mexican side Cruz Azul." http://www.safc.com/news/20100628/river ... 13_2079862 Bastards

marc: watch it again - He would not have been through on goal. And he was trying to control the ball on his upper chest. It was a handball but in no way comparable.

Sneijder wasnt even given a yellow card. What Suarez did has been done by players for ages. Just because its the closing seconds of extra time of a world cup quarter final does not make it any different. And I dont see how it can be termed as pre-meditated cheating.

marc: I'll tell you why, because there is pre-meditation in everything we do. We have limits and values. Suarez knows before he goes onto the pitch that he will behave that way - do anything to prevent a goal. That makes it pre-meditated. I don't think he's any worse - but it is not instinct.

He had like seconds to make up his mind, it was more instinct than anything else. I dont think anyone would have been talking about the handball had Gyan buried the spot kick. Ghana had no one else to blame for their exit but themselves.

I agree that Suarez's reaction after the missed penalty wasnt the best, but what do you expect, his side were handed a lifeline. He sacrificed himself for the team and will now miss the Semi finals. There arnt different levels of cheating. I dont see any difference between the Sneijder hand ball, the Suarez hand ball, even Henry's handball against Ireland or for that matter Maradona's handball. The rule book says one match ban for a red card and so it should be.

marc: That you don't see a difference goes against what happens in football. And that you see Sneijder's hand ball in the same way as Suarez's just amazes me. Justice systems try to make sentences according to severity. I also think you are wrong in theat FIFA can increase the ban.

Finally, this was one incident where there was an absolute definite - a goal would have resulted - but due to Suarez, they are in the semi-final.There was nothing definite about Sneijders (he was on the half-way line and was still getting the ball uner control)

Their reaction shows that this kind of cheating is accepted.
What are you trying to say? Suarez went into the field knowing that he was going to do what he did? I hope all players go to the field ready to do anything to prevent a goal, I certainly hope our Arsenal players do. We often talk about players taking yellow cards by comitting cynical fouls to get out of a dangerous situation and people encourage that. When Muller Ozil glided past the hapless Barry during the Germany England match, people were saying he should have fouled him. Isnt that cheating? But it is encouraged in the coaching circle.

The thing that is not dissmilar in the handball incidents that I mentioned in my last post, is that in all the cases the guilty player was unfairly trying to gain an advantage, its irrelavant which part of the pitch the act is committed. If Sneijder's hand ball went unnoticed, it could very well resulted in a goal, given how so many of the Brazilian players were ouit of position. If it was the 60th minute of the game and Suarez had committed the hand ball, Ghana would have had a penalty and one extra player on the field, they could have won the game with that advantage. Just because the timing of the incident doesnt make it any worse. You cant have different rules based on different match situations.

And what exactly did you expect Suarez to do? To cry when Gyan missed the penalty? His reaction though widely criticized is totally justifiable for a player whose team just got another chance to reach the semis of the world cup.

I wouldn't discount Spain just yet. They're formation isn't very effective against teams who defend for their lives (Portugal were even more defensive than Paraguay), but we haven't seen them play against a team that will come to attack them the way Germany would.

With more space ahead of him, we could see the brilliance of Xavi (*word censored*, but a good player) come to play much more often than in all the other games at the world cup. Not to mention the likes of Villa, Torres and Iniesta (Del Bosque isn't going to start with Cesc).

I think it's a matter of who will score the first goal, both teams lost in this world cup after going 1-0 down and both of them have great counter attacking abillities.

It's difficuilt to call Dude i wouldn't write off any combination now..the Germans are on fire at the moment but you never know how different styles are going to match up, Spain looked poor tonight but i think it would be foolish to write them off against the Germans..it will be a fascinating game and to be honest i'd be happy to see either of them in the final..

As for the other semi..again it could go either way, i think if Robben plays well it should be enough to give the dutch the advantage but the Uruguayans are strong defensively and take what few chances they get i can see this game going to ET maybe even penalties..

If i had to bet your life on it i would go for ... Spain v Holland

I'm not so sure....

Torres is totally out of sorts and i don't think the manager particularly rates Llorente...so i think it's possible he may go with the five man midfield with either Cesc or Pedro starting....moving Villa to the centre..

I agree with this, it seems the most logical move is to push Cesc to 10 and have Villa at 9. It will make for a very congested midfield though!
