As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Wilson wrote:Well Spurs haven't lost in the league this year and have conceded only 5 goals in 10 matches - bloody brilliant record.
So yeah, they are formidable, resilient and hard to beat.
In years gone by they used to be a soft touch and we used to beat them with ease. In fact, from 1999 to 2009 Spurs never beat us.
But in recent years, they have been more worthy opposition.
So, for anyone of you who think Spurs are a rubbish team, do you complain when Arsenal underestimate teams and good a poor result? Because those who think Spurs are useless are underestimating them.
I sure hope Wenger, and the players dont take such a low view of Spurs, because if they do, like the Bora game - the result will be poor.
Their first eleven are solid, no doubt when Kane is fit. But their squad is being exposed now with the pressures of playing CL footy, instead of watching Eastenders .
On the other hand, our squad is probably as strong as it has been for years. There are a few weak positions but, overall there is now strength in depth.
WHOA wait a minute....they are set up that way with Dier in front of the back four....they are set up defensively minded
Where is there Ozil?? they don't have one they have no flair in the side, yes will be hard to beat, thats a given
Very short on flair players in fact would say they are fucking boring...
Dele Ali is the nearest they have and he is a good promising young player, who scores more than Ozil.
Flair is irrelevant, it's about results and they have definitely improved in recent years.
Flair is not irrelevant mate...we are steeped in such players at the Arsenal, agree some people prefer a workhorse like Gary Mason to someone like Bergkamp or Pires but that is down to individual taste
We do try to play attacking football....(ok a lot of it sideways) and flair and style is paramount in the way it is achieved
stand by my comment that there is not one player in there shit side i would cross the road to watch....fucking scum
Wilson wrote:No difference between Wenger loyalists who refuse to let rationality get in the way of the obvious, and those fans who dont rate this Tottenham team. You need to be objective. Tottenham are not shit - Sunderland are shit.
You cant deny this Spurs team arnt formidable. And I said it last year, thank fuk they lost Bale, because if they still had Bale - now brace yourself, they would have won the league last season.
Formidable and a great manager
Is that the great manager who has won absolutely fuck all, left Espanyol bottom of La Liga and then watched Koeman eclipse his one season wonder escapade at Southampton despite having to sell all their best players.
A formidable team, who have also won fuck all, and somehow managed a collapse to make some of our worst ones look as if they didn't register on the collapse scale?
So if they have a great manager and a formidable team......and we finished above them AGAIN and went deeper into meaningful cup competitions AGAIN......what adjectives would you use to describe our manager and our team?
Try not to let your Dele juice splatter the screen when thinking of a coherent response
Just realised Wilson has previous;
Wilson wrote:Ive always admired teams with limited resources relative to the bigger and richer clubs, who are tight, compact, very hard to beat and never give up. Atletico Madrid are one, Dortmund under Klopp used to be, and now Tottenham have become everything I admire. Whilst Wenger has turned is into a bunch of overpaid and overrated soft losers with an inflated sense of worth.
Seems like Glory Glory are fed up of our piss takes and tried to come in behind enemy lines here!
Are Tottenham a small club over-achieving or a big club under-achieving? For me they'll always be the Newcastle of the south, sporadic success over 100 odd years, but nowhere near enough to think they'll ever be a big club, and they'll NEVER be an Arsenal,no matter how much the press love them in this country, shit hole club in a bigger shit hole area,
Hate the Spuds and it's pissing me of all this invicibles bollocks they're spouting but i will admit i expected them to have a serious inferiority complex this season after lasts seasons collapse but they haven't wankers so we better smash them this season

I concur. The same can be said about almost all of the other clubs in the league As long as Le bumhole reigns over us inferior teams will get results against us frequently

Difference being they have a manager who is making best of his resources, organising and making them hard to beat....they are NOT a good team but very well organised

Can some SAGE on this board tell me as Monaco beat Totnum AGAIN
Does that mean that their unbeaten run has ended, or have the media goalposts moved yet again and are now based on domestic games?.....
I would just like to say I Really fucking hate Totnum and their inbred supporters and their geological scummy area they inhabit, if I were President I would nuke them!...
Glad I got that off my chest.....
