Cardiff City linked to Danish striker. I had such high hopes that the greatest player who has or will ever play football would be living and working in Cardiff. How disappointed when its not Super Nic. The cast of the Valleys will never get a smashing off Nic.

Hmm, googled frankfurt, one German title, not good enough for bendtner IMO. To be fair he might just be bored of being at the elite (arsenal with their numerous titles and cups, the sixth most successful club in England's top flight Sunderland and Italy's biggest club Juventus) so I suppose we should all applaud him, going to a small club and single handedly bringing them success is to be commended. Go on then bendy, make that city your own

19 reasons why Bendtner is better than Messi:

1) Messi has missed more penalties than Bendtner
2) Bendtner has 55 caps for Denmark, Messi has none
3) Bendtner has scored 22 goals for Denmark, Messi has scored none
4) Bendtner has scored 30 goals in the Premier League, Messi has never scored in it
5) Bendtner's shots go out for throw-ins, Messi's don't
6) Bendtner has played for more clubs than Messi, meaning he is more versatile
7) Bendtner quite clearly has a better haircut than Messi
8) Messi played shit in the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich, Bendtner didn't
9) Bendtner has never had a bad game in La Liga, Messi has
10) Bendtner weighs much more than Messi, making him the better man
11) Bendtner's head is infinitely bigger than Messi's
12) Bendtner can play without Xavi and Iniesta
13) Bendtner changes clubs regularly, as he wants to give everyone a chance with his brilliance, Messi just stays at Barcelona
14) Bendtner has better strength, heading accuracy and aggression on FIFA 12 (the only attributes that matter)
15) Bendtner has played more times in the Euros than Messi
16) Bendtner has had shit managers like Steve Bruce and Martin O'Neill, whereas Messi has had Pep Guardiola
17) Bendtner can play as a target man, Messi can't
18) Bendtner hits his shots into row Z because he's a nice guy and wants to interact with the supporters
19) Messi earns more than Bendtner, meaning he is greedier and therefore a mercenary bastard

Very hard to argue with that tbh, I think Messi is class but you couldn't really say that he's "better" than Bendtner because they are totally different types of players. If you wanted a quick, skillful, goalscoring forward to whom you intend giving a free role then you'd choose Messi but if you want someone with strength, touch, ability in the air and who can actually lead the line and bring midfielders into play then you'd go for Bendtner. That's why I think this Messi v Bendtner debate which has been going on for years is a bit daft, you can't ever really say definitively that one is "better" than the other. Messi is better than Aguero and Suarez, you can say that because they are similar players, but I would take issue with anyone who says without hesitation that Messi is "better" than Bendtner just like I will actually stop short of proclaiming Bendtner to be "better" than Messi, we all have our opinions but they can't be proved in this case, the Messi v Bendtner debate really needs to stop now, lets just enjoy them both

Fuck yes ! :barscarf:

Yet again his wage demands scuppered any deal.

Joke of a player, even worse as a character.

To be fair though you wouldn't expect a player of Bendtner's calibre to play for a pittance, his potential suitors will need to pay the going rate if they want to attract Denamrk's best ever player, one of the stars of last years European Championship who has been at Arsenal and gained a winners medal from Serie A with Juventus. With Bendtner you get a class footballer, yes, but more than that you get a role model, an icon and a marketing tool that is worth its weight in gold when used properly (which Juventus failed miserably to do). Nicklas is not a greedy man, far from it as his charity work proves, but he knows the value of everything and he knows his own worth. It may seem expensive but if you want the best you pay the premium.

Frankfurt is not going for Bendtner anymore, too expensive.

+++ Frankfurt will Bendtner nicht kaufen +++
http://www.spiegel.de/sport/fussball/tr ... 09982.html
(ham/dpa)

He was in Frankfurt on Tuesday, but his salary of around 3 Millionen Euros per year was too much for Frankfurt.

Cheers,
Thomas

I think Barry Bender is waiting for Real Madrid or Barca to come in for him, it's only a matter of time. I can't believe someone hasn't come in for him, so gutted we can't keep him but like RVP he wants to leave for the trophies he deserves.

In the meantime, here's a simple puzzle to help pass the time....

BNRDETEN = GYERDE NCUT
