McDowell its over dude...no more - Hallelujah
Re: McDowell's VANITY 'Rumours' Thread
Apologies if this has been mentioned before.but am i putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 or is it a distinct possibility chelsea are going to come in for RVP..their main goalscorer had just left and apparently the Van Persie family are happy in london. They would offer him more money and more chance of trophies whilst being able to stay settled in london.....Come on Arsenal, get him signed up asap and show him and others we mean business..

Re: McDowell's VANITY 'Rumours' Thread
There indeed IS The Rub.....what we and countless other Gooners would call 'Meaning Business' (ie winning trophies) doesn't necessarily apply to the Wenger/Kreonke/Gazidis philosophy of 'meaning business' - ie: Being a successful Football Team.richie wrote:Apologies if this has been mentioned before.but am i putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5 or is it a distinct possibility chelsea are going to come in for RVP..their main goalscorer had just left and apparently the Van Persie family are happy in london. Even in today's dire global financial market, a balance has to be struck between profit and speculation....and going by the past Seven Seasons, the main aim is 'Profit' at the expense of (Trophy) success.....if the club were truly serious about winning a trophy, they would have RVP signed to a new contract, we would have Mata in our team, and we would have already signed the necessary players to fill the gaping holes in our team...G.Keeper, C. Back, Holding M. Fielder, Left Back...but no, they are paying cheap for not Top Quality, and so they and we will once more end up trophyless, unless by some miracle we happen to scrape through to a final AND win the FA or Carling cup....I used to trust Wenger...Those days are Looooooooooooong Gone!.

Quite a good little footballer. Not entirely what we need, but still.
Not alone is he not good enough for a champs league level club but into the bargain we have decided to insult his club with a 3m bid

Aha - perhaps that's the reason why we signed Park!! The club obviously thought because he was Asian he would be great at doing the laundry!!

Re: McDowell's VANITY 'Rumours' Thread
He won't leave Bayern.. they keep their best players. They even kept Ribery when clubs like RMA wanted to sign him AND Ribery wanted to leave.Wengerball wrote:The BBC say that there are press reports in Austria that Manure are going after David Alaba from Bayern Munich.
Having watched him him vs Madrid in the CL SFs I would love to see this guy at Arsenal.
Pace, Power and Skill- this guy looks like a great prospect at left back and can even fill in in midfield, couldnt believe he was only 19.
Anyone else reckon he would be a better option than Santos?
Re: McDowell's VANITY 'Rumours' Thread
Have no idea where this rumour has started from, but if true then 3m is outrageous - what a joke we are becoming in terms of transfers. This is where I have a small amount of sympathy with Wenger i.e working with clowns like Gazidisaugie wrote:rigsby wrote:Rumours we've bid 3 million for Joe Allen.

Re: McDowell's VANITY 'Rumours' Thread
Well if thats true then Wenger's bosses deserve even more fucking stick for delegating, no abdicating, their own responsibilities. What a sodding joke.augie wrote:SteveO 35 wrote:Have no idea where this rumour has started from, but if true then 3m is outrageous - what a joke we are becoming in terms of transfers. I don't know what's more depressing when I read this article. The fact that we need to free up cash.....err, to sign a free transfer like Hoilett, the fact that Steven Nzonzi gets a mention, the fact that Denilson is on 50k per week along with Bendtner, the fact that the Salomon Kalou rumour refuses to die, the fact nobody wants any of our shite like Squillaci.......
....but the good news is - it does mention that we are still in the running for 18 year-old Nick Powell of Crewe

FFS guys! You're grown men, some of you with a brain! You're now hypothesising over a hypothetical story made up by a journo or even some piss head on twitter. Some of you even said you would never look at a rumour thread again. Get a grip. Get a life. We're finished in the transfer market apart from selling RvP. Live with it!!!

M'Villa personal terms agreed. Sticking point is the signing on fee. Asking price was £17m, Arsenal offered £12m
