Agreed.Jumpers For Goalposts wrote:Deffo NO protests if we draw Spurs at Wembley. The atmosphere when we play them is toxic enough as it is.
Plus we saw how a few pissed up Lincoln City fans stuck their necks out yesterday and you can guarantee that a few Spuds will be drunk and looking to goad us.
But every other match we should protest and keep the pressure on Wenger.

Fair enough Pete.Pete on the beach wrote:Semi final would be different - normally - due to high number of fans presentClash wrote:To be honest I assumed there would be no marches at other grounds anyway.GoonerMuzz wrote:Don't march then, make it a static protest outside Wembley, plenty of protection when in a group prior to going in, or not depending on the individual. A static protest can be just as effective without leaving yourselves open as a target it just takes a bit more organising and probably would need to be smaller in scale and less openly publicised beforehand, keep it to a known group of trustworthy individuals and keep it off social media as much as possible.
When I read 'no protests' I was thinking no banners / anti-Wenger chanting etc.
I think static protest could work whoever it is, others would join
If it is Spurs, then another option is to release a statement saying that although we still feel the same about the Wenger situation , the sensitivity of potential trouble means that we have decided to not hold one at this game, or at least no march to Wembley . That way we turn the tables on those who are trying to dismiss us as morons
A semi at Wembley would also be different in that we would have a massive support that isnt under the control of the club the way it is at the Emirates ... and so banners etc. might be more effective inside the ground than normal.
Anyway lets wait and see what the draw is ...

Incidentally I loved that plane graphic with WENGER OUT on the WBA thread. And have shared on twitter.
Gave me a great idea, as many as can that use twitter , should post this during the game at the hawthorns, after the sponsor hashtag tweet goes out , as soon as we know the plane is defo happening (weather permitting)
A nice little warm up for the main event. Could even include a slogan " coming to skies near Birmingham shortly"

The strategy should be;
1. Protests at home. We know the route now and can tweak things.
2. Banners and PR stunts away - planes, balloons the lot.
We need to get over the first hurdle of growing numbers. I think this is a bigger challenge than envisaged. I don't think protesting at Wembley against the scum of all teams will get traction nor will it be the wisest thing to do.

Let's wait for the draw. I agree that any match against Spurs or Chelsea is inherently combustible, but I can see opportunities as well as threats once the dust has settled after the occasion.
You can bet your bottom dollar that either set of fans would be singing "Arsene Wenger, we want you to stay" loudly and with gusto inside the ground. This presents a great opportunity for us to galvanise many of the normally apathetic Arsenal supporters to take the opposite stance, ie in direct opposition to what our deadliest local rivals are clearly calling for.

I agree that marching at Wembley if we play the Spuds is asking for trouble, but it will be our lot. They will be pumped up anyway because of the occasion and will accuse us of disloyalty, which in my mind is a recipe for more than verbals. Also, the police will be busy keeping Arsenal and Spurs fans apart, so there's more chance that AKBs in mass will be able to exact retribution at the slight against their Glorious Leader. Just my take
Re: Wenger Out protest, Saturday 11th March 4pm
I would say no protest against the scum whether at wembley or their shithole.
We need to be united against them and not give them the satisfaction of seeing any infighting between us.
Fair game anywhere else though...
