Is this their way of punishing us the fanbase for forcing their removal of OGL through fan apathy :rubchin:

Employ someone none of us want and ensure he continues AW misbegotten legacy, a way of Gazidis et al feeling like they are in control not the fans

Makes zero sense. Why would they sabotage the club's financial health just to spite the fans? If this appointment goes wrong it will have financial consequences and as an owner who is only interested in making money Kroenke would be loath to see the new manager fail. Ridiculous notion.
Just as ridiculous as appointing a man with zero managerial experience to be manager of Arsenal football club.

Not buying that Gazidis and co. didn't have a replacement lined up months ago and some sort of agreement in place. This whole shit show of an ''interview process'' reeks of leaked club PR guff. Even if it is Arteta, the press saying he was being interviewed today about it is bullshit. At the same time, Sky saying Vieira was asked if he was interested. It's all bollocks. No way they didn't have a contingency plan for Wenger leaving.

New manager was agreed months ago, but just to spare further humiliation to Wenger they pretended to search for a new manager after he left.

Sorry mate but I think you have far too much misplaced confidence in the board. Whatever people think of Dein, Fiszman, Friar & co back in the day they at least knew what they were doing with the club. This current shower of c.unts are just a bunch of corporate suits who haven't a fucking clue. No fucking chance that they had a genuine quality replacement lined up months ago I'm afraid, none whatsoever. We are all to various degrees guilty of confusing 'The Arsenal' of old with the current Arsenal PLC - they are two quite different beasts and it's proving to be a bit of a bastard to come to terms with just how little ambition they possess and how fucking useless they are.
I know the board are largely incompetent, but Gazidis isn’t. He’s a slippery politician like fuck, but he’s not stupid. He got 2 quality back room staff and he’s just now beginning to flex his muscles. I believe he wanted Wenger gone last summer but as we all know he went crying to Kroenke for a new deal.

There were strong rumours Arteta was lined up in Jan/Feb in preparation for Wengers departure. If Arteta fails then it’s on him and he knows it.

Just still struggle to fathom this.

I get that the club won’t make the resources available to attract a top manager.

I don’t get that the club would want to appoint a complete no-mark who would honestly be one of the first players who springs to mind when I think of mediocrity under Wenger. Nobody other than a complete windowlicker would think he’s a good appointment. For a small amount more each year or even appointing a foreign nobody they could at least generate a bit of excitement and buy a bit more time than Arteta would get.

The more I think about it the more it pisses me off. It doesn't make a single shred of sense. May as well give the job to Moyes and tell him it's a clean fucking slate!

If it's Arteta than we'll be 10th by Christmas and looking for a new manager in January.

When is the last time this club did something logical without being forced to by circumstances, these people are egotistical meglomaniacs, do you actually think it occurs to them that this appointment could make things worse if it happens?

Haha this, look how long it took the wiggy w@nker to sanction Wenger going, it will be dither time again unless he gets us relegated, I reckon he'll get a minimum of 2 seasons where it really doesn't matter where we finish as long as top half and that is piss easy as after 6th the quality falls off a cliff.

I don't get some people saying they'll be Arteta out from the start?, I will back him (sort of), the anger should be well and truly focused on the wiggy w@nker, I fear this will get side tracked again onto Gazidis, just like Wenger all over again, the buck stops with the owner and he is a f*cking coward who hides behind the likes of Wenger and Gazidis, sadly it seems to work.. remember the reason we're getting Arteta is because he is CHEAP, that has nothing to do with Gazidis, yes he is probably making the wrong call with Arteta but he is limited by wiggy who has no intention of financing moves for Allegri or anyone demanding.

from todays Daily Express...but what i could have said post 1

You see, why, if you are managing a big club elsewhere, would you jump ship to come to Arsenal?

“Why? What is there about Arsenal that makes you think ‘you know what, I’m Massimiliano Allegri, I’m going to leave Juventus to come to Arsenal’?

“Is that an improvement? I don’t think so.

Some horrible little coincidences at the moment.....some from newspapers, some from his interviews he's doing with the likes of BeIN Sports etc.

Media say Arsenal want to announce manager before World cup starts............Wonga says he wants his future sorted before the world cup starts

Wonga says he hasn't cleared his desk yet.........

Wonga said he won't comment on who he thinks could be new Arsenal manager as he doesn't want to influence things...............yesterday gives endorsement to Arteta being manager

Wonga has now said he would like to be a coach but doesn't know if he will do another job, 'maybe upstairs'

They wouldn't do it to us would they?? Surely not!!??

I understand the feeling that this hiring is cos no top manager would be willing to work under the current system and financial restraints, and I get the idea that the board will want someone that will be grateful for the chance and will be easier for them to manage, but ffs there are dozens of better managers out there than arteta  Give the job to eddie howe who is used to working with a limited budget and plays the so called "arsenal way" ( ), cos at least the guy has managerial experience  There are loads more "cheap managers" out there that at least have decent managerial experience, so please dont give it to this no mark rookie :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
