Inevitable. Painfully inevitably. Raises a few eyebrows that despite the obvious intention from both sides to get a deal signed it's only going to be signed on the final day of his existing one. I would guess that he is holding out for a much-improved deal and the board inevitably blinked first and caved in.

It was always going to happen but 3 years - gutted. Hoped it would be 2 or even possibly a rolling 12 month deal but 3 fucking years of the same shit every transfer window and the same shit tactics and the same failure to challenge for the PL because of the two above. All with the knowledge that the only way he will be leave the club in the next 3 years is in a coffin.

.Great news for the chavs citeh manure red dippers and anyone else with any ambition..Thank fuck we won the cup cos the next 3yrs are gonna be the same old shite as the last 7 or 8 have been.
