NEW: #AFC want to make signings at CM, 2 forwards and defensive options in full-back areas. Stan Kroenke will back Arteta with significant transfer funds in a similar scenario to last summer when the club was Europe’s biggest spenders. [@ChrisWheatley_ ]

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Max Aarons 20 million being linked 20 million plays left and right back , could be a good option

I wonder if any of them will be 28 years old or over and add the much needed steel to compliment the kids?? Somehow fucking doubt it

Arsenal are currently frontrunners to sign Youri Tielemans, a player both Edu & Arteta admire. Arsenal have met with Tielemans’ agent on multiple occasions to discuss a possible move & know he won’t sign a new deal, so he could be available for £25m. That’s a bit of a bargain ~ assuming the wages fits into the team structure ( probably double what he gets at Leicester anyway )gooner265 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 12:58 amArsenal are currently frontrunners to sign Youri Tielemans, a player both Edu & Arteta admire. Would be a good addition in terms of ability, age wise etc.

Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Man City striker Gabriel Jesus. Edu Gaspar has been leading the negotiations. Everything is agreed between the player and Arsenal. [@jorgenicola via @Sport_Witness]
If Arsenal can’t reach an agreement with Manchester City for Gabriel Jesus, they will wait until his contract expires in 2023 & sign him on a free transfer. However, the mostly likely scenario is that Manchester City are expected to ask for a small compensation. [@jorgenicola] https://t.co/9qsTZ295dC

Wow! Jesus is good but I don't think he's the type of striker we need!
a bit lightweight for me...
Tielemann's would be a decent signing, but I thought we were looking to sign a Defensive mid-fielder in the Kante mode?

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Oh FFS I heard the Jesus rumours a few weeks ago and nearly shit myself. Hopefully it’s all just BS as we’d just be upgrading from Laca’s 3 league goals a season to Jesus’s 7.
Free scoring prolific striker he ain’t. AVOID.
Tielemans….yes please.

Every day we're being linked with someone new. Who will it be tomorrow?
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I’ve never believed in Jesus and I won’t start if we sign that useless fecker from City!
Jesus?! Seriously? He’s hardly prolific FFS, if we signed him as a number 2 striker then I could accept it but sign him as 1st choice and we are as fucked as having PEA up front.
When will Arsenal learn that if ‘big’ clubs want to let players go……they aren’t good enough, we learnt that the hard way with the Chavs
