According to Gazidis tonight, Arsene will be strengthening where necessary with the 'finite budget' we have.

Wrong wrong wrong, its NOT "just" the emotion thing, in fact its not "emotion at all- its plain common sence and nous. The guy played his heart out, no reason at all to suggest he wouldnt again. He isnt "just" an attacking midfielder, nor "another" one. He outplays Santi who as I said elsewhere is 30 in December, Santi and Ozil dont generally work well, as both are not good enough at tackling, one wont one cant. Cesc was seldom fearful of shirking tackles. He also "Got" the Arsenal thing, can you see Ozil, or some of our other players chucking a Pizza at Whiskynose?Gunnersaurus wrote:Reading some of the tweets from tonight involving the meet with Gazidis it is clear that he is not coming back, they will do the right thing not emotional thing, the right thing is not buying another attacking midfielder, the emotion thing is bringing him back, its dead.
Agree, much as I like Santi, Cesc pisses all over him in every aspect of play - he would improve our team by 10 percent, it's a deal we should be looking to do if we are intent on moving "forward" - or is it just a word we plucked as a motto, with no intention of actually trying ?Theoperator wrote:Wrong wrong wrong, its NOT "just" the emotion thing, in fact its not "emotion at all- its plain common sence and nous. However its also that its about STOPPING other teams getting him as well. Cant you see thats what The Chavs and Citeh have been up to for some time now- buying all and sundry loaning out to smaller teams so we and the other large European teams dont have as good an opportunity. Lukaku and Ba may have been chances for us if they were with other teams but NEVER as they are Chav players..
