Official World Cup Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

At least we know now who our targets are....expect three of these to sign before the end of July!

Also, apologies as I've not given this thread the attention it no doubt deserves but spending far too much time on transfer and Cole threads! But how funny is it that media were going mental last week saying "we can all learn from the south americans" and "what's gone wrong in europe" and now we have 3/4 of semi finalists from europe and likliehood of all european final and first european winner outside continent of europe  ! And still two Arsenal players involved....but how many from Spurs.... 8) ????
Casillas, Xavi and Schweinsteiger would be nice

Like the look of those two Uruguayan DM's , in particular Perez .
Squeezed the life out of every one to date and with this likely to be very tight
in the middle , could be very interesting

Half time Musings( Shite Talk :) ) Some Goal from ol' Geo there , best Goal of the Tournament for me .
Christ , system or not, RVP is well off the pace of the game and not at the races at all . Is it me or does the Uruguayan keeper look about 12 and even
resemble Gary Lineker

I was just going to say pity Van Persie wasn't playing.....

I noticed on a couple of their goals he barely reacted when the ball went in the net...like he was a bit pissed off that someone else had scored..

There were a couple of times when he could have been played in, particularly when Robben went through at the end and he didnt even moan?
