Listen we all knew there was a more than sizeable risk of the board doing this when it was announced Wenger was on his bike.

We all wanted Wenger gone and this was the risk of what came next.

Arteta if appointed should get the full support of the fanbase because its the boards decision to hire him. He has to be given a chance to succeed.

Every bit of anger and negativity should be directed at them for the shameful way they handle this club. I always used to say that someone could do a lot better than Wenger even given the constraints of a Kronke regime..... unfortunately Wenger has got us into such a position where money is being lost so the new man has even less to work with.

Those are the realities of a post Wenger era..... it may take years of us falling into obscurity and losing money before the wig wearing c.unt decides to finally sell up.

We all knew this is how it could be so we're just gonna have to deal with it now.
Whats your point mate? Should nobody post their complaints and ire on the forum then?

We'd have to close the forum. Or go full porn.

Did we? Maybe naively i thought they would try to get the best person who was available and not a complete novice.
If you look on the poll, very few thought Arteta, most said Allegri, Ancelotti etc..
Gotta be honest I feared the worst because of Gazidis and Wiggy. But I did hope. Idiot that I am.

I always said the problem was bigger than just Wenger. Feel sick to be (likely) proven right.... :|

I actually believed that getting a manager that would unite the fanbase again, would be very high on their list of priorities - obviously the apathy and in house fighting means nothing to them, or else they think that it doesnt matter who they pick once wenger is gone

Full porn you say?

I guess my point is directed at those who seem surprised by it.

It was always likely to be the case that this appointment would take us further back given the board we currently have but its the beginning of the process. Arteta will more than likely fail badly then he will be out when we fall further down the leagues. At some point or another Kronke is either going to have to throw caution to the wind and show some ambition of fuck us off to someone else.

I guess i'd just like to see the support unite and get behind the new man, and/or direct our efforts into getting the board out

I just dont want to see the complete apathy we had this season. Literally a piss up with the lads was the only thing that kept me turning up.

With Wenger to come back in on a temporary basis to steady the ship :barscarf:

I honestly don't see that happening, most of our supporters will stay silent as normal.

I see the Metro is making it up as they go along.
It states that we have interviewed Allegri whilst a few days ago they said that Ancelotti has a pre-contract agreement with us. :banghead:

Although appointing Arteta is probably going to be a disaster apparently it was him who has gotten all the backroom staff sacked this past week, 7 if I remember correct? At least he has identified that all the coaching has been total dog shit at the club for years, maybe Arteta isn't the mug we all think he might be and he has good hair :D

Independent just posted a story that says Arteta will be appointed next week, as all remaining club staff are being called in.

TH14 will be assistant on a part time basis, with Santi on a full time basis.

I'm surprised that if they were going to offer a PT position that Dennis wasn't first in line - he has six years experience from Ajax.

apparently, Arteta was very vocal at Everton and berated Moyes a few times when they were losing or not playing well. he was not afraid to give the team a bollocking either from what Alan Stubbs says.

I think its a premature appointment, but then they said that about Pep and Simeone too. it might work, it might not.

Where's Rodders banter bus when it's needed.

Oh well if it is it'll be interesting next season, and seriously get ready to see plenty of OGL about the place passing on his Sage advice :banghead:
