Realised since the start I'm desperate for Argies to beat Germany. Wasteful from Higuain, cracking through back by Stevie Kroos though.

Mark Lawrenson is a worse commentator than Michael Owen. As much as his attempted glib remarks and rubbish insight is irritating on MOTD, he has the capacity to ruin any football game. The *word censored* is just not funny and is absolutely clueless.

On the pitch the game has actually been okay, while it's at 0-0 both teams are going to create chances.

Foolish substitution from low - german's on top with the system they were playing but instead of bringing on a similar player to Kramer (bender ?), he opted to bring on the chavski donkey and move the lightweight ozil into the middle  Wouldn't mind but I thought ozil was doing ok where he was

He's by no means bossing the game, but every touch I see from Özil (apart from that shot he just took!) has been absolute quality.

But, he hasn't dribbled past five players before whacking a screamer in from 30 yards yet. So, y'know, he's shite.

Have a lot of appreciation for this sort of playing style from Argentina - disciplined at the back, attacking with great pace and some fantastic dribbling/passing from the front 3 and finally combative all over the pitch.

I think that schweinsteiger has been immense and is absolutely bossing this game - he knows exactly where he needs to be defensively but at the same time he is the one driving the team forward 8)

I know that they say that scoring goals is the hardest thing in football but that schurrle c.unt makes a mockery of that - he is absolutely fcuking garbage but he has this habit of getting important goals :?

Ozil probably the best player on the pitch for Germany. Pretty good game for a 0-0. Deffo better than that semi final vs the Dutch, and way better than the 2010 final

Cannot see Germany winning this now - muller, kroos and schurrle are contributing fcuk all and should be subbed at this stage. Watching Germany is same as watching Arsenal - all tippy tappy sidewards passing but no threat or pace up front

Have they really been that bad? Germany have been quite happy to commit cynical fouls and Muller has feigned heavy contact and injury as he has from the very first game this tournament. The arrogance of this German side repulses me.

And despite the anti-South American sentiment cast your mind back to England's first game alone, every single attacking player was diving.

Class goal, Schurrle has been dreadful but that was absolutely superb play from him and it was a great finish.

The best team have won and it contains three Arsenal players. Well done, Germany.
