TheCook - is it correct that you received some money from the club which was related to the good behaviour of Arsenal fans?
Re: Banner Boys - Are we right or wrong?
Can't we just get on with making a nice new banner for Abou wishing him a speedy recovery
Re: Banner Boys - Are we right or wrong?
Yes, correct : 2005 I think that was? Spunked on free scarves for all and a couple of card displays at Highbury if I recall correctly.arseofacrow wrote:TheCook - is it correct that you received some money from the club which was related to the good behaviour of Arsenal fans?

Then that in some way makes you accountable to the other fans, regardless of their participation in any action.TheCook wrote:Yes, correct : 2005 I think that was? I am afraid what also doesn't wash is your inability to accept criticism for things that you indivdually choose to do in our name! No-one is pointing a gun to your head, but if you choose to do something, and some of us think it's a pile of shit, have the good grace to accept that we don't hate you, we just perhaps think the idea sucked. There is no compulsion on any of you to do anything - however, you have chosen to do so. Fine, then perhaps some things will work and some won't. Just try not to get your knickers in a twist over some people on the internet who think the various marches, banners and little flags just don't do it for them.
Especially if the good behaviour of said fans has in the past lead to you being funded.

Re: Banner Boys - Are we right or wrong?
and talking of banners....seems that at every game where something rested on the outcome, that there were banners to suit all every eventually.
"Yes, we've done it"
"Next Year "
"We're staying up"
"We'll be back"
"You fucked it up!"
"It's only out on loan"
"We're safe...no, we're not,,,oh yes, we are"

And where would that be? in the palm of the board?TheCook wrote: I'm just suggesting that we have now found our niche and concentrate on other things, rather than being anti / pro anyting ; Manager, Board, Investors all that stuff, we can just focus on things inside the stadium during home games, with just a few exceptions.
And if you don't have an opinion then what in the name of living fuck is your point?

Methinks the word "action" should be dropped from your title.

In fairness Sid , the views of RA have changed some what in the last few Weeks.
There not quite the same in the pocket group.

Cook has posted this on the 16 may. Claiming they are neither pro or anti anything, how can a group calling itself Redaction, which calls on support from ordinary fans, not have a pro or anti board, wenger or funding opinion, or aganda.

dunno about all that, i just know a few of the lads and its not as rosey as some may think.
I think there will be more pro atmosphere next season, starting with home games and getting that corner to full capacity again. Thats a start anyway and a sensible one.
Not sure if i am right Cook , but in the past you have been "pro wenger, pro anything" from what i can gather that seems to be on a more laid back level now. REDaction SHOULD be a voice for the fans, and not the ones that follow you on facebook who live in india or africa. But the real fans who go home and away.

I do not want RedAction to have an opinion on the manger.
As far as I am concerned, they exist purely to improve atmosphere in the ground.
BSM and AISA should be the ones with an opinion on the manager.
AST for the shares/financial concerns.

As far as I've been aware RA have only been a focus group for fans to help enhance the atmosphere at the Grove and previously at Highbury.goonersid wrote:Mikey,mikeyb772001 wrote:In fairness Sid , the views of RA have changed some what in the last few Weeks.

This includes supporting and getting behind the players. I've often witness (or heard) RA sing up for a player that fans might be getting on the back off. Ramsey in particular was a recent player.
Where the water gets murky is the support of the manager. Remember the point of RA is to provide a positive atmosphere. What has happened is that fans start to bemoan Wenger (rightly) so to drown it out RA sing up. Unfortunately they often choose to sing "One Arsene Wenger". From what I understand this goes against some RA members beliefs.

As I say things get murky when they sing "One Arsene Wenger" to drown out the moaning. Yes, I see how they are trying to improve the atmosphere but in turn it makes out as if RA are backing Wenger. When in truth that's not the case of all RA members.
Re: Banner Boys - Are we right or wrong?
in all seriousness, are we going to end up with this same debate about the banner if we have the same start to next season as we did the last?

If RVP does go no matter whom they bring in as a replacement, the "BANNER" should be up from the whistle of the very first game!
