ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

So far it pretty much reeks of "the usual" from us, while clubs around us are getting it done we're giving it the cards close to the chest approach which as we all know ends in dissapointment.

We pretty much needed a statement signing straight off the bat...something to say that last season was just ok and now its being built on.

But nothing.....Twas ever thus
Fans of every team want an early statement signing so we’re not unique in that.

I’d say chill out mate. It’s only 13th June and most deals happen late in the summer so getting too invested and disappointed this early on only sets you up for a miserable summer.

My guess is one decent signing relatively soon and a couple of summer long sagas followed by a trolley dash. ‘‘Twas ever thus”

Tottenham are set to complete their third signing: agreement in place for Yves Bissouma joining from Brighton, as first reported by @garyjacob. Final details on the add-ons, €26m fee. ⚪️ #THFC

Spurs are offering Bissouma a five year deal - new midfielder is coming for Conte. https://t.co/0PWUzYNB1J

Anyone remember all the HooHaaaa! about Vlahovic and how Arsenal claimed they were in discussions to sign him when Auba was given to the Barcawhores?

https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/ ... t-24209214

Well according to the player (Vlahovic) He never spoke with anyone. Okay that's not to say Edu & Co didn't speak with his agent, BUT he is stating that his agent didn't even speak to him about a possible move/ to Arsenal FC. For me it has all the connotations that Edu & Co were blowing smoke up our sphincters! (Yes Rodders we know you like that!)

Dusan Vlahovic has opened up about rejecting the chance to join Arsenal during the January transfer window.

The Gunners allowed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join Catalan giants Barcelona during the winter window, with technical director Edu and manager Mikel Arteta keen to bring in Fiorentina centre-forward Vlahovic as a replacement. However, the Serbian international was keen to stay in Serie A and eventually signed for Massimiliano Allegri's Juventus instead.

Now, he has claimed that he never spoke to anyone about a potential move to the Emirates Stadium, admitting that his agent handles that side of the game. Speaking to The Telegraph about the Gunners' interest, he said: “Maybe my agent knows [about Arsenal’s offer] but I never talked to anyone about it.

"I just had one club in my mind because Juventus is Juventus. There is nothing else to say.

As already stated this transfer window is just more of the same; whilst everyone else even the so-called lower teams are getting their business done, all we appear to be doing is sitting on our hands doing Sweet FA! I sincerely hope I ma proven Wrong, but experience has shown us all that Arsenal Management etc are fucking inept when it comes to signing and getting the kind of players we all identify as the answer/s to our problem/s, but the manager etc have other ideas.

Well, that's one of my preferred transfer targets gone to spuds. It could mean Tielemans is Arteta's no.1 midfield target, followed by Asensio.
As for strikers I'd suggest we stay away from Lukaku and Richarlison. Despite failing at West Ham, Haller at Ajax ended top scorer in CL and in Erediviisie. Might be worth a punt.

I despair I really do. 25m is nothing in today's terms. If we'd acted quickly we could have potentially snapped up Tielemans and Bissouma for 50m, a very decent midfield pairing.
Now Spuds are getting a decent midfield to go with their very good attack, Kulesevski and Bissouma are very very good players, if they add a quality playmaker to it.....maybe Eriksen? Then they would likely be a shoe in for top 4 next season.
Now watch us lose Tielemans as someone comes in with a 30m bid, then we're fucked. Back to Xhaka being first choice next season.
How very fucking Arsenal! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

£26m to scum but, if we really wanted Bissouma, I reckon somehow the fee would have been £40m+. Clubs see us coming a mile off. :x …. Remember this is the same club that took us for £50m over Ben White

The Kroenke's
Arteta
Edu
Arsenal FC the club

We absolutely Reek of "Desperation" and any deals we get involved in, any offers we make, or any players we want to sell as has been perfectly highlighted already.. The other clubs can see us a fucking mile off and so fuck us over, BUT there is no one else to blame but:

The Kroenke's
Arteta
Edu

I fucking despair honestly.

That's the question I have too - as much as I rate the guy, if there is even a 25% chance the lad will be doing porridge in the near future, then it is one player I wouldnt bother chasing

I'd read a few weeks back that he wouldn't be moving this summer due to his impending errrr.....bother.

To be honest I know fuck all about what he's been accused of or where it's at legally but you'd have to be massively concerned that the shit could hit the fan with him at any time which may be why the fee is so low.

He has only 12 months left on current contract and hence why the fee is low - at least that's the line being peddled in media
