In my opinion there is no argument against what you have said here , agree 100%augie wrote:TH14 pushed for a transfer to barca for the whole 2005/2006 season and then did a U-turn after the champs league final cos of some sort of feeling of injusticeA few months into the following season he decided that he had made a mistake staying with us and then spent the remainder of that season organising the transfer to barca. So despite spending a season and a half trying to get a transfer to barca, the vast majority of Gooners practically wanked themselves to death when he re-joined us as a 35 YEAR OLD
Contrast that to the reaction that cesc is getting now from many Gooners - he left us to return to his boyhood club and to play in what is probably the best club side ever, but now he is regarded as a judas despite the fact that he wants to return to us again in what is HIS PEAK YEARS
We would not be signing a player for sentimental reasons......we would be signing one of THE best midfielders in the world and would be getting the peak years of his career - it should be a no brainer even ignoring the threat of him joining the chavs

Personally I am a big Cazorla fan but with Ozil in the squad he's marginalised and too much of a luxury. Imo we should sign Fabregas and sell Cazorla on, we'd still get a fair wedge for him. Likewise I would sell Arteta and buy a quality DM if that's an option, but there's no way Wenger will tell Arteta he has to find a new club as he has no future here.

FFS augie I nearly spat my tea all over my laptop as I read that... please affix a health warning when posting such frightening content in futureaugie wrote:Below average al has been released by Watford and is now considering retirement.......is anybody else worried that le cock might try and sign him as back up to Chesney ? With any other manager you would ask that question in jest, but with wenker I don't think anybody could rule it out
Gazidis is like any lying politician - He is able to say nothing whilst fooling people/gooners into thinking he is actually saying 'something'SteveO 35 wrote:http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/foot ... 91843.html
