Sanogo won't see a game once Giroud is fully fit, Alexis is fully settled in and Theo is back fit. I expect Alexis to move to the middle when Theo returns as well. His return will give us another dimension completely.donaldo71 wrote:No i want us to have a manager who doesnt play a postman who couldnt hit a cows ares with a bango then brings on that French male model to replace him,a manager who will play Sanchez through the middle.a manager who has the balls to hook players at HT when they are playing shit Wilshere and Cazorla. We got out of jail yesterday but the style of the performance was no different from the last nine years when we won one trophy. That team yesterday would have got battered again by the big teams1989 wrote:What do you want - us to play brilliantly and not get a win? 100 million spent since then, two more years of 'experience. same manager given a 60% pay rise.
Wenger Out.

Pretty facetious remark but not entirely without merit. We thrive against teams that are open and play expansive football but aren't that good.Henry Norris 1913 wrote:don't use the straw man, you know what teams I was referring toclockender1 wrote:you mean like Chelsea, City, Everton, Liverpool ?Henry Norris 1913 wrote:, we thrive against teams that are open and play expansive football.
yeah, that went well last year didn't it ? - 5 goals scored, 18 conceded.
To be fair Palace are very well drilled and made life hard for most of the teams towards the top last year. But we just weren't even getting near creating chances, and didn't really have any idea how to change things to counteract. A huge feature of the past half a decade under Wenger is that it has become too easy for teams to shut us out, and it's long since become apparent that it's not really the case that all these teams just happen to put in a superhuman defensive effort against us.

You know, I really like to believe in this also and hopefully this is what is going to happen. I think the middle is absolutely the right position to Alexis Walcott and Caz or Poldi on the sides. Having two fast runners in Alexis and Theo will probably bring the best out of Özil too.Sanogo won't see a game once Giroud is fully fit, Alexis is fully settled in and Theo is back fit. I expect Alexis to move to the middle when Theo returns as well. His return will give us another dimension completely.

Absolutely, having Ozil on the ball and picking out pinpoint passes for Alexis and Theo will be a delight (regardless if Giroud is still played in the middle, which I think will still happen)

So what you are saying is that you pick your wingers before your centre forward ? Are you suggesting that they are more important than your centre forward ? Whether you want to agree or not, your comment suggests that Sanchez is only on the wing cos Wally is injured and that he would be centre forward when Wally returns, therefore playing a good winger is more important at the mo than playing a good centre forward

1989, you have this obsession that Sanchez is going to be played centre forward but the reality is that as long as we play with one up front, Sanchez will not be that guy

Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
If Sanchez didn't play CF yesterday starting I think that sends out more of a message about where Wenger is going to play him than any vague out of context quote 1989 will conjure up from Wenger. An opposition who we were always going to dominate against and were going to sit so deep that becoming isolated shouldn't have been an issue, and the alternative was Sanogo. If not then, when???
Re: WENGER - Views For and Against.
It's more wishful thinking than anything else on my part tbh. Fuck knows what Wenger is planning, but if Sanogo is part of that plan, then he wants his P45.augie wrote:So what you are saying is that you pick your wingers before your centre forward ? Likewise if Campbell is behind le postman in the pecking order then he should be slapping in a transfer request first thing mon morning

PS sort out your fucking quoting.

Can't quote more than 5 previous posts - it's a good rule and all, but then trying to quote the last part of it is a bastard esp if other people have posted in the meantime
