SUMMER TRANSFERS - Your thoughts on who did and did not sign

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think Villa would be fantastic as long as its alongside someone like jovetic, now that would be something, but to just have a clapped out has been(bit harsh I know) as our main summer signing wouldn't be great.we need a deep world class squad, imagine the luxury of villa on the bench to turn a game or alongside jovetic, now that would be a statement, and so what villa may cost us but the likes of chamakh, gervnho, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc have cost us a packet and given us fuck all, villa will deliver

12m for a 32 year old crock on 200k a week. Its absolutely madness. I honestly think this would AW worst ever signing. Worse than Santos.

Bit of an OTT reaction  :|

1) I doubt he'd be on anywhere near 200k a week. 2) He's not that much of a crock. 3) To say signing David Villa would be worse than the signing of Andre Santos is one of the most stupid things I've seen on here.

On another note -

Nasri?

Nasri is/was overrated. He's basically Hleb. Little end product.

This I agree with.

Nasri had a phenomenal three months then went back to his former self.

Not worth what we sold him for, got a good price.

I would rather see us play with Squillaci, Santos, Djourou,Denilson, Bendtner, Chamack and Almunia on goal than seeing that money :censored: in our shirt ever again. :cussing:

Sanogo finished the Ligue 2 season with nine goals from 13 appearances in an injury hit campaign.

Good point

I think it opens 1st July (although of course nothing to stop agreements being struck before then).
