THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

same as when Jack got injured last year.

and of course his "reserve " team that easily beat the spuds, liverpool and everton in the Cup which had width and pace. unlike his "strongest" team that limped past Wigan and Hull that didn't.
he sets the team up to play wide but we don't have any true wingers in the mold of Robben, RIbery. Our fullbacks get forward without overlapping runs from the mids leaving us exposed when we lose possession.
He could of played 2 out of Alexis the Ox or Campbell out wide... At least they have pace and can take on players or cut inside and have a pop. But playing Cazorla or Ozil there is a total waste as they will always drift inside and the opposition know it.

stubborn Wenger, I know!

and this is why opposing defenses can sit back, they're never drawn out by true width, true midfielders. which is why fullbacks making runs can be dangerous.

we get it, why doesn't Wenger?

I'm now up to 112% for but that may be due to excessive exposure to the sun and as much beer and wine as a man can drink in 2 weeks

Groundhog season again, here we sit with not one of our deficiencies sorted, one average striker with no backup of acceptable standard, an army of midfield midgets who will be bitch slapped in all the away games against the top teams and Le bum hole does not appear to have a scooby do what to do, I fear the window will slam shut without any additions and the battle for fourth will begin in earnest.

Surely you dont mean we should get our asses up from behind the keyboards, go out into the real world and actually do something tangeable to rid the club of Wenger?

An interesting new concept if somewhat left-field DB10 :rubchin:

What happened to the power of social meeja?

Going into tomorrow nights £40m match (though I'm struggling to get excited about an annual guaranteed last 16/32 knockout) without a recognised striker, hmm......

Be careful what you wish for, Wenger has done wonders for this club!
