RVP didn't look intersted for the first 70 mins, only once we had some serious posession, started really working the wings and had a few free kicks in "his" position did he look like he wanted to be there, was just going through the motions until that point.
Got a bit lucky with the first but tbh i felt we'd actually earn't it. Created several chances and had large spells of intense pressure forcing Green into seval great saves. Worked hard tracking back too but still rode our luck too much for my liking (Almunia's leg save in the first half for example). Also, who the hell is teaching Song to obstruct like that? DId it midweek and got booked, lucky not to have got a red that night) and got booked for the same thing again tonight.
Still, a good 2-0 win at a tough place to go, BRING ON THE SCUM!

He has some of the most useless fouls I have ever seen, don't think he is the solution for CM.

Have I not being saying that for months ?? I dont know what they do with big lumps like him in cameroon but teaching him how to tackle is not one those things Am fed up saying it now but he is not good enough to play for Arsenal at centre back, centre midfield or any other goddamn position in the team
Cant believe some of you thought bedtner was poor today He had zero help from rvp, had no supply from nasri at all and cesc was below par and he was still far and away our best player As has been said already his pass for greedybollox's goal was different class
Just been Reading some of the posts on here??
I cant believe that some of you where watching the same game as me?
Bendtner done well he was alway holding the ball and looking for a player to pass to!
Song was my man of the match in some respect, There was some tough challenges going in and Song handled it better than I think Denilson would of, at many points he held of challenges and always found a pass, I honestly think some people believe when things aint going right they blame the players in who are covering!
RvP made some sublime passes most notably to Walcott to which he should of done better with it but then again Green was having a decent game, when he was switched out wide he also done well
Oh, and watching the game using mobile tv on your phone is the most painful way to watch a game! The players were leaving vapour trails, occasionally a crowd shout would morph into a close up of a player and my 3G signal kept bombing out every 10 mins!
You lot with sky at home/money to watch the game up the pub don't know how lucky you are!

Agreed with Bendtner, held the ball up well and Song was good in 50/50's, it's just when he has the man coming at him with pace, he seems to compensate his lack of speed by illegally blocking the man off.
Still think RVP was quiet for 3/4 of the game though.
QuartzGooner wrote:Song is ok but lacks the pace to play in central midfield as Cesc's partner, though I can see him as a centre back.
Agreed, Song looks far too pedestrian for me.. but then again, so does Obi Mikel for Chelsea, and Gilberto too, when he was at Arsenal, so who knows, maybe he'll grow into the role... he is only 19 after all!
At the moment, I'd say Song would be my preferred option, over Denilson, as I really don't think Densilon offers enough protection.
Diaby seems a popular choice.. but until Wenger plays him there, then I think we can discount him.

Song over Denilson for the reason you say.
Song in a 4-5-1 Makalele role.
But come on Coquelin and hurrry up and mature into the superstar you will be for us!
Arsenal's way of playing games in the prem seems to be take it easy in the 1st half, try and keep the ball and try to pass over the defence for the strikers. 2nd half is up the tempo and pass the ball more through the midfield and run at the defence.
Another good game from Almunia perhaps fans will now stop saying he doesnt make match winning saves.
Silvestre and Gallas worked well together in CD.
Fabregas has still to find his form this season but still made some great passes.
I thought Song had a good game nothing spectacular but solid, I would think Wenger will talk to him about the blocking.
Bendtner played well got in some good positions always looking for space, trying to anticipate where the ball was going. I still think he is better coming off the bench but games like this will give him experence.
Walcott and Nasri played well today both helped the midfield by making space for themselves, linked well.
I think RVP is trying to hard to make things happen for him and the team. I wonder if the injurys and lack of games he has had has knocked his confidence.
Why cant adebyour run around like that when he starts games, if he played like that for a whole game he would have at least 2 goals a game!!!!!!!!!!!!
