IHH

For a half an hour Chelsea let us have the ball in midfield because they knew we couldnt hurt them.Yes we had tons of the ball but did we hurt them? Then they upped a gear and it was game over over.

I Hate Hleb wrote:Really Donaldo?  :? I thought we bossed the midfield for the majority of the first half and just lacked the cutting thrust/the final ball. Song was everywhere in that period and Essen/Mikel/Lampard were all having a relatively quiet game.

Where Chelsea did have the advantage was up front and in their distribution from out wide. It was only in the second half when Song had gone off that the Chelsea midfield got on top of the game.
Completely agree. Well said IHH 8)

Lads in all fairness if ye think song did well today ye are mad :o He was absolutely shocking for that chance that drogba headed wide and I would make the same point about song about breaking up chavs attacks as IHH made about denilson......sooner or later he is bound to get in the way of a chav pass  He cannot physically compete with the likes of essien, mikel or lumpolard and as a result we are getting pushed around in midfield when teams like the chavs come out to play - they let us dicky about with the ball for 30mins or so knowing that we had no real threat up front and then decided they going to go for the win and duly turned us over :( By the way denilson was equally bad

Song is utter dog shit, its fucking embarrasing that we have shit like him, Eboue and Denilson playing for us, they way that this great club that were once genuinely challenging for top honours to what we have now is a fucking disgrace

Nah, I don't think you can say Song is shit anymore. He did ok today and in an Arsenal team that was poor today, he was one of the better performers. Denilson? Agreed. Absolutely dogshite today. How Wenger can rate him is beyond me. No creativity at all.
God I need cheering up :banghead:

Song has improved hugely this season but that only brings him up to average in my book. Essien Mikel and Fat Frank Cuntpard are way above average. Song has done well against weak teams but he was found out yesterday. He didn't play particularly badly but the chav midfield were faster of thought and deed, more accurate of pass and worked box to box. Song was simply outclassed. Having said that he was probably our best midfielder in the game and Wenger fucked up taking him off instead of Denilson.

Denilson proved me 100% right again today. I've had many a tussle (oo-er  ) on here with Hadereud about Denilson. Surely even he must admit that Denilson is a poor player. He cannot win tackles, he only passes accurately over 5 yards and he loses posession too often under no pressure. He passed one ball straight out into touch 5 yards behind Sagna under no pressure and Sagna just glared at him. You'd kick a 9 year old's arse for that!! :banghead: Anelka went by him 3 times with the same move - run at Denilson, wait for Denilson to stand square on (a fucking sin for any midfielder) drop the shoulder and just sprint past Denilson with ease.

Please rosetinters, don't come back with "but Cesc was shit, Theo was shit - I love Denilson and Eboue!"

It's not about our "favourite" players for fuck's sake!!! Either a player is good enough or he isn't. Denilson seems like a great bloke but he is a shit footballer.

For the record, Cesc was poor but he is still light years ahead of Denilson, Song, Eboue or Diaby. Wallcott (at present) is just a latter day Tony Daly - he can run really fast but he can't do fuck all else. But he has the potential to be so much better so, for me, it's jury out on Walcott for the moment.

Well said. Song is a decent player plays well against poor or mediocre teams but if you want to win Championships or European cups you need a top class defensive midfielder in there. Song will NEVER be this
