BLACKPOOL GAME THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Can any doubt thatbTheo is simply better off more centrall and at the end of the attck where g=his decision-making is more limited?

He has to be fair played a much better complete game overall, but still when he hasto decide whether to pass or shoot he is still, well, very frustrating.

When he is given the chance to just finish moves himself he is frankly pretty darned effective.. Like I say he is more our Michael Owen then he will ever be our new Henry - thing is having a Michael Owen of our own wouldn't be the worst thing would it?

Il give Walcott the credit he deserves today, but his decision making is still frankly awful (the 5 v 2 being the prime example) and Blackpool are allowing him the space to use his pace. Its against better teams where he struggles (note last weekend) as they defend him out the game.

Still got a lot to do to impress me, but cant take the fact away form him he looks motivated and sharp today - so lets hope that continues :barscarf:

Have to notch a high score.

This is a chance to show some intent, Chel$ki certainly wouldn't stop at three so I hope we don't come out negative.

Would be nice to see Cesc and RVP get some time too, a good chance for them to get back into their stride.

Theo can be a solid scorer when he stays central and focuses on finishing moves instead of trying to be the new number 14. As well as he played all over the pitch - and he did today - his decision making when there was a decision for him to make looked not one bit better today than it ever has. Even the couple of good crosses he did put in were from positions where they were the only real option for him.

If we stop trying to make him another Thierry Henry we might realize just how good a Theo Walcott he really can be.

I thought although we were playing against a limited team we performed well today - some very good performances from Walcott and Rosiscky in particular. Song seemed a little out of position at times though and although he did his job well enough I do worry how he would be against tougher opposition?

But, no complaints today - we played like a team and took most of our chances !!
