A brilliant performance for most of that game. A possible banana skin overcome and we played some outstanding football. But Braga didn't turn up last night. Yes, partly due to us not letting them turn up but also because they aren't a great side. But I just really enjoyed watching sublime beautiful footy from our lads.

This for me was a game to help build confidence and cohesion. I thought Wilshere and Fabregas worked well in midfield together but will young Jack be able to keep up that level for a whole season? Hope so but would be surprised if he can. Certainly if he keeps developing he is gonna be world class.

It's silly to say we should look at just this game and not relate it to our season. We are Arsenal fans, every game impacts on our season. We are not nuetrals that can just watch one game and leave it at that. The big test for this current line up is the chavs away. We certainly won't get the same time on the ball against Essien and co in the middle as we did last night.

A great result but it has to be viewed in context. We beat a team that is a couple of leagues below us in quality. We played well (brilliantly at times) but we now have to build on that and repeat it against proper quality teams.

Yes, agree with that summary, I said to the guy next to me (when we were 1-0 up) that Braga were a poor team, although they beat Seville and Celtic easily in their previous rounds. They looked overawed and shit scared of us (and who could blame them)

Wilshere was quality last night, and his link up play with Cesc was a joy to behold, I just hope we can keep the key players fit for when we play the likes of the Chavs and Manure, good results against these and then I'll start getting really happy.

Worst part for me was late on after the three subs were made and Fabregas was left on (insanity). I spent the whole time praying "Don't get injured, don't get injured". Going to the chavs away without him would be a hiding.

Actually worst part was seeing Comedy Eboue being sent on... :banghead:

I think the substitutions should have come earlier, straight after the fourth goal went in imo, and I would have thought Nasri should have been hooked, considering he's just come back from injury :?

Clichy is concerning me, he almost caught caught out a couple of times last night which will be punished against a good side, other then that everyone played well and some of the football was top draw.

They may have been rubbish but you can only play what's infront of you, would much prefer this then being held at home by a pub team from a joke league.

Agreed. We shouldn't let the standard of the oppo take away from a great performance. Yes it has to be seen in context, fine, but we still had to put in the performance, we still had to play at that technical level. How many times have we seen top sides just slug it out with poorer sides and not raise their game through indifference or lack of motivation?

Exactly. See Man Utd vs. Rangers. I dont buy into all this "B-Team" rubbish that the media keep propogating. They had Rooney up front and they didnt score. End of...

LOL, just opened Arsenal.com to watch Wengers post-Braga press conference and the details read "Arsene Wenger after Wednesday's 4-1 over Braga".

Think someone at .com is secretly a Chelsea fan?

Because Fabregas wanted to leave, for every two goals he scores, we give one to the oppostion and take his two off.

Can I re-open an "End of" :?:

It's a bit different. Rangers came with a plan (to just defend), and Man Utd changed their side massively. Braga gave us space in attacking areas, didn't have this attitude, and we put as syrong a team out as we could.

No you may not!

Well, I'd still expect Arsenal U-18's to at LEAST score against Rangers who, lets be honset, would struggle in the Championship.
And lets not forget that we are missing our fastest player (currently in form), our main striker and our Verminator who is replaced by a Ligue 2 player and a 30 yr old who have barely even exchanged names. We also had Nasri whos been out for a fair amount of time, an 18 yr-old and a playmaker who "doesnt want to be there". This is hardly our first choice team/situation.

Yet we managed to score 6, which could easily have been more, and kept Almunia's shorts clean.

Basically what I'm saying is Man Utd. for relegation & Arsenal for CL Winner's 2010 :barscarf: :-P 8)

Just looking at your signature gif again nino. The bloke in black in the bottom right is all "I'll fuckin' slash ya, ya cunt! I'll fucking do ya! Come on! COME ON!" and then some huge steward/cop/bouncer type walks across the bottom of the screen towards him and matey boy is suddenly all hands up "No problem, mate. Calm down, don't want no trouble."

Edit; I think it's actually the linesman!! OMG!! MASSIVE FAIL!! Bitched down by a linesman!!!
