There was another suggestion of 'ARSENAL FC, NOT PLC' which I think sits much better. I'd help you out if you could work out a way to get it into the ground without stewards realisingbigreddave wrote:I'm gonna make a banner saying "BUY BUY OR BYE BYE" At the end of the season just before the players do their usual walk of shame i'm going up to the upper tier and hanging it over the front, I've had enough I need another hand holding the other end is anyone up for it? I'll be in the east lower.
I like it ! Cesc and RvP will probably volunteer to hold it with you but failing that I'm happy to oblige...bigreddave wrote:I'm gonna make a banner saying "BUY BUY OR BYE BYE" At the end of the season just before the players do their usual walk of shame i'm going up to the upper tier and hanging it over the front, I've had enough I need another hand holding the other end is anyone up for it? He ain't Sam Spade you know or Mike Hammer or Bulldog Drummond sitting at his desk waiting for some dame to walk in telling him her husband's gone missing.QuartzGooner wrote:You could contact Henry Winter at the Daily Telegraph, last night he Tweeted "Wenger needs to bring in a couple of bulldogs to protect the butterflies".

No we need to take action and get the meida to want to know about why we are doing so and then make the case to them that they need to explore this further. Why are Arsenal Supporters protesting ...then they will offer our answer and then ideally they will ask the Board(almost certainly either Messers Hill-Wood or Gazidis) about this, and hopefully they will investigate the amswer they get a bit and if its not entirely satisfactory push them further.
And merse10 what good is a protest if it doesn't have a chance to acheieve the real goal - and that's very possible so long as you simply want it to be Wenger Out protest. The goal is to stop the rot and if you aren't sure where it is and cut out the wrong pices you can do more damage than good. Is that really what you would want to risk?

Protest our about making a point, burning the outdated banner would cause more of an issue.SteveO 35 wrote:Rather than being destructive why not take that banner and simply add the words "f++k all" underneath.Metalheadz Gooner wrote:What about finding that "Arsene Knows" banner and burning it ?
That would make a point.

There is no free float of shares in Arsenal, so as long as we keep qualifying for the CL, the four sets of major shareholders' value is protected and they could not give a shite what we say. All the while there's a full Club level, 10 year waiting list for season tickets and every home game sold out.....it sadly matters little what we say. There's no loss of value to them through a share price drop if they receive negative press and that's the truth of it.
Having spent thousands of pounds every year watching the club I have sadly resigned myself to the fact that all the while the 'lock down' agreement is in place, so the GIC will be in place, the lack of trophies will remain and us supporters are simply pawns in the game.
No steve if nothing else it matters what we say to us - at least then we can can look ourselves in the eye if things worsen to from here.

Martin...I have no problem protesting pal, and I'm happy to join in. I agree with your sentiment. I have made enough barbed comments at home matches but as has been mentioned here elsewhere it seems that at least 50% of current Gooners are still in the "I love AW, I believe everything that Gazidis says, we have a better model than Man United/Chelsea" fantasy land. This is definitely true as dissenting voices like yours and mine are stamped out by this other 50% + who are happy with the way things are. Sadly for us there are thousands more equally deluded happy to snap up our season tickets and silver memberships so no matter what we say outside the ground, at the training ground etc.....there will still be 60000 tourists feeding the shareholders £3m per home game and until that changes our voices will be shouting into a void (the size of which is only equalled in the part of Wenger's brain labelled 'how to defend and take set plays')USMartin wrote:\SteveO 35 wrote:The only way to make this inept board and major shareholders listen is through a drop in value. Theres already the Black Scarf Protest Group on Twitter and Facebook, it has some numbers behind it. Think some members of the herd forum started that.frankbutcher wrote:I'm not on twitter. I think going seperate to black scarf would be the best idea as there seems to be a big split between supporters there. Plus its all a bit manchester bandwagon isn't it with the scarves?Irish Gooner wrote:Theres already the Black Scarf Protest Group on Twitter and Facebook, it has some numbers behind it.
