They seemed to have everything set in motion, Reg is certainly there for support, as is Highbury Harold it seems.frankbutcher wrote:I really think that a merger with BSM could be a goer at some point. They are similarly not anti-Wenger. They are broadly on the same page as us.
Jayson are you going to upload one of the images to the twitter account? If yes then I would use one of the white ones. Shall I use one for mine?

Not Wenger out? . . . . . . I dont think there is any other option now its gone too far for him to suddenly start spending and all is good in Arsene' world again. I think this movement is heading in the right direction but Wenger wont be made to spend, therefore he has to go and the sooner the better

that's a point i made on another thread - you either give wenger the freedom to do his job, or you have to get rid of him.flash gunner wrote:Not Wenger out? . . . . . . Otherwise, we're getting into a very difficult area.
I would say, it would have to a complete change in philosophy by Wenger, of which spending is only one part.

and with Wenger in charge it is never going to happen. kingjason, know this sounds a bit picky, but any chance yo could get dan to put the underline on the fc's of those picks....that would make them perfect.
Think before we set up any paypal accounts or a start spending on banners we really need to get the numbers in first. I also agree that getting other groups involved is a great idea. But what really needs to be established is the wording of what its all about (I'll try do my version tomorrow and see what people think).

I understand where you're both coming from with your arguments because you want wenger gone. But do you not both feel had HE invested in a better quality of player over the last few years we wouldnt have been more successful? To really get the numbers involved ins omething like this you cant call for Wengers head, because the fact remains the vast vast majority of fans want him to stay(like me), but the majority of that vast vast amount of fans think he can do no wrong(not like me). So to get any type of movement going you need an aim that appeals to the masses. And spending money we know we have on quality players in my opinion has to appeal to ALL arsenal fans.flash gunner wrote:and with Wenger in charge it is never going to happen. Regarding the movement nbb, I don't disagree fundamentaly, and agree that you need a message that unites. Here's where I have a problem...northbankbren wrote:I understand where you're both coming from with your arguments because you want wenger gone. It seems like the essential message that Wenger is not doing his job, is being watered down to such an extent as to get approval of enough people to take this forward.. I agree that moderate investment on proven players of the right kind (in line with profits and player sales) would have made a difference, but essentialy this is something that very few people would disagree on.
I just think that this is at the very heart of Wenger's philosophy and so, if you changed this, you are essentialy changing the entire philosophy (from Wenger's point of view) - so, it is up to Wenger to either change his entire philosophy on our football, the players he wants, etc...or he goes.
(Listening to The Dubliners while writing this...how fucking strange..

Anyone who thinks this is gonna make AW wake up and go Oh ,you're all right, I should spend some money.what have I been doing ??? IS MENTAL.
The only message I can see working is WHERE HAS OUR MONEY GONE?
From there, if he's had it all along then we proceed with sack him
If he doesn't have it then sack the board. We want answers should be the message imo

Wenger would never stay on if he was told to spend money and the board would never tell him to spend either. He has the money to spend but doesnt spend it, how will your movement change that?northbankbren wrote:I understand where you're both coming from with your arguments because you want wenger gone. He has to go for money to be spent again but if you cant bring yourself to accept that then you have no movement. I think youve watered this down to try to keep everyone happy and by doing that have lost sight of the real problem ie Wenger and his wanky project
Just to add i like the jist of the movement but it has to end with if wenger has the money but doesnt spend he has to go

Although our impending failure on the pitch is inevitable, I would like to warn people not be shaken by the knockers.
Hold your head high and do not be fooled into thinking what opposition want.
Be prepared to see plenty of new regs on here, signing up throwing all sorts of questions/ accusations , despite the fact they have said nothing at all about their views.
WUMS such as Iceman and Louder have been removed, both would be expected back under another name, in fact one is probably that Demun guy. It will be the same on facebook/twitter , random mugs saying Wenger knows, you are *word censored* etc.
Also be prepared for some mocking if we manage to win upcoming games, the fickle lot will starting throwing mud around.
This will really get off the ground when we are out of the title race completely.
Until then I feel it should be small steps.

Right now the likelehood of the board sacking Wenger is low.
So we can only try to influence the man currently in charge, who actually buys players.
Most fans understand some of the belt tightening that happened after we moved stadium, but we have to shake him out of a destructive perseverance with sub-standard players, and his dogged determination to "grow his own" at the expense of results.
Influence him to be a bit more pragmatic, spend a little to get big rewards, and shuffle the pack.
Let him know we are not calling for his head, do not hate him, but want changes, and would not see a bit of pragmatism as a failure, but to see it as commonsense.
Asking for new signings and better defence is very populist, and it can also capture the media's attention precisely because these should be standard activities.
But for a few seasons they have not been, and this has upset the fans and baffled the press.
