Without doubt RVP is arsenal through and through he loves the club and loves the fans. But again I keep saying it there is no room for sentiment!

If he was fit all season he would be the best striker in the prem and possibly for his position in the world. I couldn’t think of anyone better.

If we had an average striker or even a dare I say it Bent , Defoe, Kevin Davies all 3 would of scored more than 11 league goals in 1 season.

These are just examples but the point remains the same. RVP for 11 goals and half a season or a striker that gets you 20+ goals and a whole season?

His injury history is very bad and if he carries on he will be in a wheel chair the time 2014 world cup arrives.

Netiher half a season of RvP or a 20+ goal striker gives you a better shot at success. That comes from the state of the rest of the team, particularly defence.

I think the point is though that while a striker that hits 20+ PL goals a season doesn't guarantee the title, you simply cannot win the title without one.

Of coure he has to be added to a strong defence, top notch keeper and a creative and combative midfield that supplies and scores goals as well as dominating the middle of the pitch box to box.

and while RvP is our striker, we won't be getting any better than Bendtner as a back-up - and with chocolate leg's injury record, that means a lot of playing time for another striker.

I like van Persie, and his class and passion for the club - but weighed against his actual effectiveness over a season, and the fact he is so important to be fit because of the alternatives, I would get rid of him - unless a similar quality striker was brought in as well, then you can keep him and get rid of Pelendter.

Onto a totally serious note. I did notice in those 20+ goalless seasons there was also another player in the team who got into double figures. I think this is a very key point. When not if VP get to 15 goals this year will we have another player who gets into the 12 to 13 goal bracket to support him? If we could couple the two it would give us a better shot at success.

So I say sell Bendtner and Vela, use that money plus a bit from the kitty to give us VP, Chamakh +1 to score the goals needed between them.

Yes but that's Wenger's fault, not RVP! He's never played a full season since he joined 7 years ago, so there's no big surprise there! But we end up blaming RVP and questionning his commitment for playing international games and getting injuried!

And some are suggesting RVP should stop international carreer, fuck off back to holland, or be sold asap! Why should RVP be the one held responsible for Wenger's mistakes??!!
