why was this thread not used when we were winning games then?
there are plenty on here that obviously want Wenger to leave even if we won the Champions League so I can't see why there haven't been any Blackburn style protests so far this season.
in fact all i hear at the Emirates is support for Wenger.
I know a lot of you seem to despise most of the people that go there but the fact is this - that is the bulk of the Arsenal support.
And what is the alternative to Wenger anyway?
Redknapp - on his way to prison or the England job
Guardiola - why would he leave the most successful club side ever to join us?
AVB - showing his inexperience at Chelsea
Mancini - no chance
Ancelotti - negative fucker. we wouldn't win anything still and it would be boring as well
Mourinho - interesting. but would the board want him?

For all the reasons baba gave in 1 of his posts
Red Member, cant you see that were pissed off because the cracks that were papered over are beginning to rot? were not being fickle, it was inevitable that we would eventually peter out, and with our dear leader indicating that he wont be doing much this January, we feel that we shouldnt be complacent in reminding each other that we need a massive change at the club.
LOL
Pleb Member calls Ancelotti 'boring as fuck'.
He obviously does not watch Arsenal matches then, as most of us are bored to tears watching dross than cannot break down Wolves. As I recall, Ancelotti won the Double with Chelski with a team that scored more goals than anyone a couple of seasons back, and was then sacked for finishing second in the league wasn't he?
Imagine that. Sacked for finishing in a position Wenger ain't been able to achieve in over six years. Hilarious.
Gus Hiddink would be ace too, with Bergkamp as his assistant.
Oh but I forget: there isn't a manager, anywhere in the world, who would be an improvement on Mr £6.5 mil a year for qualifying in the Europa League spots! Fancy that. Not a manager anywhere who could better a record of zero trophies in seven years, and 4th place (soon to be 5th.6th).
Give Wenger a contract for life. Arsenal is such a unique club that we have an irreplaceable manager ya hear> Clubs like Bayern, Barca, Real, Chelski, Liverpool, Milan etc. are all perfectly capable of replacing managers already better than Wenger (Van Gaal, Ancelotti etc)....but Arsenal for some reason are the only club in Europea with a manager who cannot be replaced.
Despite earning £6.5 mil a year (more than any other) and on the other hand, being unable to qualify for the CL despite having a wage bill comparable to Man United. H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S.

this super high £6.5M-£7.5M wage for Wenger is one I've personally only seen claimed here
where does that number come from?

Try and think before you post ey?

Apparently during the negotiations he said to the Board: "I already have high wages; so now I look for only 'super high' wages"highburyJD wrote:this is a slight tangent but an honest question

i hope you can take that advice yourself. why are you comparing City's yearly figure on ALL wages to Wengers montly wage? not to mention that City and Chelsea get a higher position the Arsenal, thus EARNING their wages. Wenger gets that money and the position of the team diminishes year on year.MM99 wrote:Yes because 115k a week can be compared to the 1.5 Billion spent by City and Chelsea....1989 wrote:He barely deserves half of that.

Signing Henry is the umpteenth final straw for me. It proves beyond any doubt that Wenger has lost it. Whilst we should be building a squad, we are again harking back to a past which will never return.
If people are with me, I want to unveil the banner at Arsenal v Leeds on Monday night. Just when Henry makes his (second) debut, I want to unveil that banner and take the wind out of the Board's sails. Signing old washed-up players shows what we have become. This is where we make our stand. I feel that it will be a poignant message..... "Arsene. Thanks for the memories. But it's time to say goodbye."
