well done to marray in the tennis today
cant wait for federer murray tomoz, feeling very confident in federer tbh, people liken murray's chances coz he doesnt have to face nadal while this is true it doesnt say much for murray tbh. i think fed wins this 3-0 perhaps 3-1. time for federer to create history. one of the all time greats in my opinion

I'll be surprised if Federer loses a set.

I don't understand why so many people at the game are supporting Federer.
I comprehend that a considerable minority of English people refuse to support Murray because he doesn't support England at major football tournaments (or whatever smokescreen people use to try and hide that pathetic excuse).
But given the cost of the tickets for the Wimbledon final which are also extremely difficult to get hold of, I think it's fair to predict that the majority of non-celebrities there will be avid British tennis fans who are able to read tongue-in-cheek comments in context. Presuming that most of those would have been desperate to see a British winner at Wimbledon for decades, why the fuck would they turn up and cheer as loudly for some Swiss bloke as for Murray? I know it's tennis and Centre Court is hardly going to be a cauldron of hate but I expected (and hoped) that the atmosphere would be more partisan.

Was never going to happen.
This isn't football, and Federer is too well respected and will always be supported by the Wimbledon crowd. I'm surprised you're surprised, to be honest.

I agree...I don't think the atmosphere is surprising at all. There mostly middle class English people, supporting Murray but more than respectful of someone who has owned centre court, It's never that fervent unless you get the odd day like ivanesivic monday final.

Was Murray limping just before the rain break...or is he faking it again?
