RIP Phyllis Thaxter

Phyllis St. Felix Thaxter (November 20, 1919 – August 14, 2012) was an American actress.
In 1978, Thaxter was cast along with Glenn Ford as Ma and Pa Kent in Superman.
Thaxter died on August 14, 2012 in Longwood, Florida after a nine-year battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Scott McKenzie (born Philip Wallach Blondheim, January 10, 1939 – August 18, 2012) was an American singer. He is best known for his 1967 hit single and generational anthem, "San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)".

RIP Tony Scott

Anthony David "Tony" Scott (June 21, 1944 – August 19, 2012) was a British film director. His films include The Hunger, Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop II, The Last Boy Scout, True Romance, Crimson Tide, Enemy of the State, Spy Game, Man on Fire, Déjà Vu, The Taking of Pelham 123 and Unstoppable. He was the younger brother of fellow film director Ridley Scott.

On August 19, 2012, it was reported that Scott had committed suicide by jumping off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in the San Pedro port district of Los Angeles, California at around 12:30 p.m. Investigators found contact information in his Toyota Prius, which was parked on the left side of the road near the bridge, and a suicide note in his office. Witnesses said he did not hesitate before jumping. Scott is survived by his wife and two children.

hmm... I nearly went with True Romance, but opted for The Last Boy Scout at the last moment. Both quality films. 8)

I really liked Deja vu as well :oops: :lol:

The scene with Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper is outstanding. Generates a sense of real menace. Brilliant cameos by Gary Oldman and (shockingly) Brad Pitt too.
