This is Wengers stubbornness and his ego at work yet again.
Hes decided to play Gervinho through the middle and even if hes having a total mare his ego will not allow him to take him off.

Hes done exactly the same thing with the club for years - obvious vanity project fail but refusal to change track due to MASSIVE ego.
