As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Sounds like a good set of aims tbh, good luck with it lads. Obviously the cynical side of me thinks that none of this will do any good, the club don't seem to overly care what the fans think, but its worth trying. Do Arsenal not currently do any sort of payment option (other than "pay in full up front") for season tickets? Thought most clubs did an interest free option by now? Ours involves paying in installments (I think its June, August, October and December) and seems like a decent way to let fans spread the costs
Nah - what our custodians do is bill us for our season tickets while we are still high on winning the 4th place trophy
I'm starting to believe that those who want the removal of Wenger from Arsenal will end up causing trouble
on this march for those Arsenal supporters who want to expose the current regime & their wrongdoings.
Fans arguing & being aggresive or worse between themselves about Wenger as has happened at matches over the past year will just play into Gazidis, Hillwood & Kroenkes hands with their friends in the media portraying all attending the march as troublemakers.
Anyone who comes on this march should leave the Wenger issue aside & arrange for another separate protest on another date.
Please do not turn this march into an anti Wenger protest, don't bother if that is the most important issue that you are concerned with.
Fair play to the BSM they're finally gaining some traction. But let's not kid ourselves there's a rather large elephant in the room and that's Wenger. You can dress it up anyway you want but most people on the march want Wenger to go. It's BSM's call on what the campaign aims are (and rightly so) but there has to come a time when someone puts their head above the parapet and starts campaigning for Wenger to go. BSM are the only fan group so far to campaign against the evil empire - Kronke, Gazidis, Hill-Wood et al - I think it needs to go a step further. If Wenger realises he has lost the support of the fan-base - and it's crumbling fast - he might just go. That's the only hope because the Board won't sack him. Good luck to the BSM you're doing a great job - but I think you should add one more aim; see you on the march.

I agree but maybe for this march we should back their decision to leave wenger out of the equation - first march is all about numbers/statement of intent and then subsequent protests can be more direct perhaps ?
Firstly well done to all at the BSM for organising this. Many of us complain but that’s where it ends.
I’m slightly confused by the lack of Wenger’s name to be honest but I will respect the request of the BSM to leave any mention of him out of it. Anyway I will be on this march and am intending to get a few others who don’t have tickets for the game to join in. This needs to be a big turn out.
One thing I would like to suggest - which I think is vitally important - is that those of us who have tickets make a point of not entering the ground until 3.15 at the earliest. If there is a big turn out then this will not go unnoticed inside the ground (and lets face it Arsenal don’t get out of 1st gear in 90% of the first half so we won’t miss anything).
Looking forward to this more than any of the matches, which says a lot in itself. Lets hope it makes the impact that we all want it to make.

from what i can gather the majority of BSM members are for a change of manager but i do feel that is for another day, at the moment the BSM are concentrating on doing what is best for the match going gooner, really hope for big number at this march just to show the club they cant have it all there own way.
georgeknows89 wrote:Usmanov is aware of the march and would love it to be a large attendance
I think numbers will be clearly influenced by the results against Spurs in particular and Montpellier. The swinging vote of those wanting to attend at half time v Reading then change their mind with their delusion at full time. They likewise carry on their tweeting and blogging through the highs and lows whilst we are suffering in Schalke ( yes i was there)and i'm sure the same yesterday.
BSM have done a great job in organising and promoting this and all credit to them BUT the key to its success is high attendance and the promotion of this march should be as a fans march for all ORGANISED by BSM rather than a BSM march -
There is a subtle difference .
You want those that are AISA, AST and Red Action to also be encourages to attend , especially as there are increasing common threads across all groups and Herd attendees would be great.
I understand that Red Action have indeed endorsed and backed the march but can one of their people please clarify if this means a u turn on the well publicised Love Arsenal hate Usmanov banners previously waved ?
I think that before they get a chance for a cosy russian vodka with the Usmanov team as opposes to a cup of tea with IG they need to make themselves clear on their Usmanov stance.
Anyway , well done to BSM
The anti-Usmanov banner was a long time ago ,and I have gone on record to say that this was a mistake by REDaction, and REDaction should never have got involved in such a subject, but there were reasons why it happened at the time.

Yes and those reasons were fooling for uninformed bullshit rumours about Usmanov's sources of wealth, not understanding the difference between a debt and equity based financing model, and believing the club's brainwashing that FFP was about to save the day and that evil Alisher would come along and spoil the party
Some of us of course didn't have our brains removed when we were 3 years old and took the time to understand that Chelsea operate to a debt free model and are able to make our own informed decisions based around facts rather than produce banners on the back of scaremongering
What our personal feelings are regarding Wenger should be put on the shelf when we all attend the BSM march. Lets not break up into factions of Wenger out/in please, just show the board how widespread the discontent is.
For those of you in two minds, come along anyway and chat to people so you can make your mind up. This is a great opportunity for us to show we care about our, once great, club.

Those are not the reasons I am referring to, but thanks for the lecture anyway.

You're most welcome. Feel free to respond with 'the reasons' and why you arrived at an informed decision that backing Kroenke's private equity style model of keeping a business levered with debt, starving it of investment for 3 years while Rome burns before flipping it to the next buyer, was a better bet than having a high wealth individual that would invest substantially more money, convert debt to equity and build a club to truly rival the best in Europe.
I'm all ears. I'm sure there was a real, detailed reasoned argument behind all the 'hate Usmanov' judging by the care in the community brigade brandishing the banners

I support the principles of the BSM 100% as set out in the initial post.
However, as demonstrated by post #2, it is blatantly something that is going to get swamped by WOB tossers thinking it is just a vehicle to get WENGER OUT!, which it clearly isn't, so it won't be getting my support.
