Munich away match thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I told a fellow gooner (was an akb but I have turned him to the dark side) to put money on us losing the tie 7-2 on aggregate. 3-1 at home and 4-1 away.

He later emailed me after the first result and asked if I had put money on it but I can never bet against Arsenal, it just wouldn't sit well with me

Anyhow I will watch it and count how many times Giroud fails to pick the ball up in his stride and then slips and flails around like a giraffe on ice.

Ive put by 3goals, probably 4-1 on the night 7-2 on agg  the only reason it will be so tight  is cos the germans know the job is done already.

The traveling Gooners are being well and truly shafted by wenger tonight - these guys are shelling out a load of money, in the midst of a global financial meltdown, only to see wenger disrespect them by throwing in the towel   If we are reading this correctly he is prioritising a game on Saturday that will get us into this cup next year....why bother if he is gonna throw in the towel as soon as the knockouts start ?

Wilshire is being sent on holiday end of - you don't go to Dubai to get treatment  He then leaves out poldi, cazorla, Wally and chesney cos of slight concerns and then expects us to believe his bullshit about how we can still qualify for the quarters  Wenger is a fcuking embarrassment and should fcuk off asap

4-1 to bayern and that is with bayern easing up with 30mins to go - ideally I would like to see us suffer an almighty hammering tonight though

Yep, it was suggested on the radio earlier that he's not injured at all, and that he's just being rested. But Arsenal have said that he's injured so as to avoid fan backlash. More lies and bullshit from the club, but we've come to expect that.

I suppose they have to say he is injured or he will get called up for the two England games.

Oh gawd.

Having a nice Cheltenham, and don't want to ruin it by betting on us losing.

If I was to have a punt tonight, I would have 5 x £20 correct scores.

3-2 @ 25/1
4-1 @ 18/1
3-1 @ 10/1
5-1 @ 33/1
5-2 @ 80/1

Cheers Arsene. I cannot remember, ever, going into any game feeling so hopeless.
Enjoy reading your paycheck, you Kant.

wilshire being 'injured' is Wengers excuse for us not qualifying for the ECL this year.

"well yeessss, of course without Wilshire it was a very tough task....."

"In Europe, we have won everywhere" - AW.

Does that include the Nou Camp then?

I thought the England doctors have the right to perform their own fitness test if they think a club is trying to mislead them.

I'm sure they do but with the amount of scar tissue form previous injuries already suffered then I am sure they cannot disprove he needs rest either.

I do not see us scoring any goals tonight. We will lose 2-0. Maybe I will be surprised, but probably not.

Im liking the draw a 4/1, i think munich wont be fussed at scoring loads and we wont be capable and it could all end in a dire 0-0, possibly 1-1.

at 4/1 it could be worth a punt. I hope i dont read this tomorrow and look silly!!

Utter disgrace, he happily bullshits how he thinks the side can win and pull off a mircale, then leaves out half of our best 11. :banghead:

I really want to smack that clod around the head a few times and see if that knocks some sense into him, the club is a fucking cash cow. :banghead:

Arsenal FOOTBALL Club is now officially dead. We are now Arsenal Financial Club. If the rumours about tonight's team selection are true, then why bother? The manager is a senile, lying, buffoon and the board are a joke. We are now the ultimate example of everything that is wrong with modern football. Fleece the fans and totally disrespect those that have travelled today. Overpaid, not much better than average players (bar 2 or 3), and we don't even play attractive football anymore. I've had enough of his waffle and post-match interviews. It's all just shite, shite, shite, followed by more shite. Nobody is accountable, it just goes on and on and on. When and how will it turn around, and when will we get the FOOTBALL club back? We were all here long before Wenger, Kroenke, and Gazidis, and we will be here long after they've gone. The sooner the better. Just embarassing now!!
