The Mesut Özil Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This is an interesting article about his childhood.

I particularly liked this line.
Özil, mercifully for his future career, instead exhibited a freakish resistance to injury.

After todays show you could easily say ozil is the polar opposite of Jack in that every pass counts and he keeps it simple, jack could learn a lot from him

With Ozil in the team what an opportunity we have/had(?) to build a team to really challenge for silverware again - yet we find ourselves already without a recognised No.9

Giroud? :?

Unless you know more than everyone else, we don't even know he's out of the Marseille game yet!

Doesnt Ozil need a season to "adjust"?
Thats what Wengers disciples usually say about his signings....

Ah yes - perhaps Ozil actually is a quality player unlike the dead weights Wenger has been telling us were "world class"

Yes isn't it amazing that when you sign a genuine international class player from one of the world's top leagues for more than £20m, that he just so happens to need a 2 minute adaption period, as opposed to the traditional 2 year one saved for the likes of SQ Park, Maryanne the Camel, Billy Joel Campbell, the Forehead and RVP's greatest shirt swapping admirer.

Those wankers listed there have drained this club of well over £200k in wages and either all loaned out or sold off.

The last two cost us around €17m in transfer fees too and it was apparent from the first time they crossed the line they were never going to be good enough

Higuain seems to be struggling with his 'adaption' to Italian football judging by the last 2 weeks.....
