Chavs (H) in the thingy cup

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Surely we've got some strikers in the under 18s or whatever. Anyone would be better than Bendtner, he's 2 yards off the pace and can't keep possession.
Ryo has been to the Arsenal school of crossing (in other words, shit).
Jenkinson is having a nightmare. I like him, but he's not playing well up front or at the back.

Other than that it was a very boring first half.

So 2 players between them and till flappy is stuck in no man's land NOT one of 'em could take responsibilty to just welly the ball away for max a throw or corner.

Another cheap goal to that odious c word in the oppo's dugout. Now I have to sit in a pub with chavvy scum fans with zero football knowledge whilst listening to the bored no mark that is wilkins slag us off. They score again and I'm off home to watch whatever sh*te that's on telly. It's either that or end up picking a fight with some chavvy w*nker.

Hope Ray Wilkins didn't drive to the game.

Not looking forward to the next couple of weeks

Lose to Dortmund
Beat Palace
Lose to Chelsea

I wonder if we'll draw against Liverpool now and then lose at Old Trafford

Still, we're much better this year and Wenger's turned it all around by signing one midfielder

I suppose I should cheer up as we could still bring on Park to turn the game
I knew you'd pounce - we should start a SteveO bingo game going :D

You're right though. This game is worryingly predictable :( - seen it many times before. We lose. :banghead:
Start what you like buddy....people are quick on the draw when I get stuff wrong :D

The truth is that this is little different to the League Cup game against City 2 years ago and just about every home match I've ever seen Wenger play out against Mourinho

Whether you like Mourinho or despise him, he'll always put out teams that are hard to beat and a team that contains The Fat Danish Samurai as its lone striker will hardly ruffle their feathers

How many shots on target so far ?

Give it a moth and I predict that we will go back to fingers crossing that we finish 4th again. I never bought the hype to the start of the season. We beat a bunch of cannon fodders and bought 1 player on the final day of the season. Hardly great groundwork for a season.

It's annoying, I agree. You wrote a post the other day about our team against Citeh in the cup playing with a strong midfield and Park up front. Same thing here - without a cutting edge up front, you're basically passing yourselves out of the competition. Again.

Bring on Giroud. He's hardly amazing, but still. This is a cup we can win.

Because the bloke who has worked in football for 30 years hasn't bothered strengthening those positions.

People turned a blind eye to not signing a striker while we were knocking over dross like Norwich, Palace and Fenerbahce

Lets see how everyone feels after we've lost to Dortmund twice and taken 1 or 2 points from 12 when we've finished the round of matches against Chelsea, Liverpool, United and City
Agree

Obviously I'm not ITK but this is why we should have just met Madrid's asking price for Higuain instead of quibbling over £8m, in addition to signing Özil.

It's also worrying how Flamini is now de facto a key fucking player.

With or without Flamini, you will never have a chance of beating top teams with SQ Park or the Clown Prince of Denmark up front

Still we might get a shot on target in a minute
