There have been many occasions when booing has been fully justified..... But I find it incredible they are booing now, 4 points clear at the top and drawing 0-0 against a team with the second best defense in the league after ourselves, and were getting on their case.
Even by my pretty low standards that is poor by our supporters.

Nothing wrong with booing the ref regardless of league position.

It wouldn't have been aimed at the players. Although you always get the odd idiot.

Everton are playing well at the moment but it's like we were completely surprised by the way they set up. Let's remember that they might be on form but they're not Barcelona, they're Everton. They will fatigue (as they started to towards the end of that half), they don't really look like creating chances even when they have the ball in decent areas and when we hit our stride in the last 5 minutes they didn't look nearly capable of coping with us.

We need to up the tempo and sharpen up the passing but at the same time remain patient. No need for panic or frustration to set in if it's still 0-0 after 70 minutes.

I quite fancy us to get a late winner here. They'll get less ambitious as they try to safeguard the point and like I said they'll fatigue.

The end of that half really shows what a difference it can make to the team when the crowd gets involved.

Ideal game for Walcott. But it won't happen till 70 minutes. Everton will tire and maybe Gary Neville will stop tugging himself silly over Everton. Yes, they've played well but didn't trouble Chez. Merse has just called it right - Everton have had their chance. (Hopefully!)

Re: Walcott, I don't necessarily think this is the ideal game for him. While Everton have had a lot of possession, it isn't as if they are committing loads of bodies forward. I don't think they'd be that vulnerable to the counter attack. If they were to nick a goal, they would sit even deeper and that would favour Walcott even less.

If we were to get the first goal, however - that would be a different story.
