Re: Swansea match thread
9 players behind the ball and nobody is closing down their left-back who has all the time in the world to pick out a cross. Our tactic is just to get men behind the ball but apply no pressure to it
It's fucking embarrassing.
Poor positioning by Szczesny, bearing in mind where he headed it from he was miles too far from his front post. Top header, I have watched Bony quite a lot this season and Swansea got miles more for their £12mil than we did with Giroud. He's not top drawer but his aerial ability, movement, hold-up play, pace and predatory instincts are all superior. I'd like to see him given a chance in a good team to see what he could do. And I know that Giroud wins his lion's share of flick-ons but he doesn't score anywhere near enough headers for my money and regularly sends very score-able chances nowhere near the back of the net.
A team that was waiting to be taken apart is now spraying round the ball like Barcelona. They're playing shit and Monk is a shit manager, any of the top 3 would have dismantled them today.

Caught 4 on 2 from our own corner, not even an incisive breakaway.

No doubt we'll still finish the season with a morale-boosting three game unbeaten streak that shows signs of great promise for 2014/15!Zimgooner wrote:The floodgates have opened.........the annual tummy tickling is now well underway.

Tell you what boys, after the thrashing on Saturday, let's charge forward at every opportunity and leave ourselves totoally exposed at the back. It worked so well at the weekend, so let's try and look like complete *word censored* again tonight. Wenger, fuck off.

Re: Swansea match thread
We cannot compete with Swansea's financial power.
Bony is what a battering ram CF looks like because, unlike Giroud, he can actually occupy and bully CBs.
For the nth time - why do we even bother with corners? Just let them take a goalkick fcs.
