Besiktas (H)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He's still injured.

Alexis up front again?

I hope he can stay as a no9 and remain disciplined to stay around the penalty area or my assertions that he can play there are in tatters.

Yes, lest we have to play Sanogo... Although I wouldn't be adverse to seeing Joel Campbell up top.

Again Poldi only on the bench. Feel sorry for him, he should force his way out if AW refuses to play him as a striker, the same way Theo held out on a new contract.

Window closes soon he holds the cards with Giroud being injured.

Meh game, either us or them will go through, neither will worry any top teams. Either will bow out early.... Big f**king Yawn.

I can admit I am a wee bit nervous about it.

Giroud was used as our physical presence because we certainly didn't have one in midfield like the old days. The ball has to stick up front otherwise we can't seem to launch an attack, unless we catch our opponents on the counter, and there is space.
