Fairly sure to be a differently paced pitch, so we'll see if the aussies can come back.
And if England don't get ahead of themselves.
And if Officepest can keep up his prodigous reporting.

Mange tout Rodney, mange tout.

Early forecast is minimal interruptions perhaps the odd thunderstorm on Friday. I will be soo pissed off if this doesn't make it to day 5! Even a few hours with a result would be great.

I once managed to get tickets for Day 3 of the Ashes at Edgbaston. England lost by lunchtime!!!

Watson Out, Marsh In
Haddin Out, Neville In
Faster pitch to suit Aussie bowlers.
Now can Root get injured, the rain stay away and Aussies will be back in the series!

Without seeing what the pitch is like today, if England win the toss it seems pretty obvious to put the Aussies in. With a very humid cloudy morning in London, the ball should swing in the air. Perfect for conditions for Jimmy Anderson.
From tomorrow its going to be fresher and more sunny. England historically haven't done well at Lords vs the Aussies so lets hope things are different this time.
Still praying for day 5 action in this Test Match. It looks like its pretty much sold out which is amazing. For anyone who hasn't been to Lords, it reminds me of Highbury in a way. It's steeped in history with very elegant stands, the atmosphere isn't as raucous as places like Edgbaston but its an amazing venue to watch cricket.
Also managed to get two tickets for day 5 for the Oval Test match for only £25. The last day of the series has produced some spectacular cricket in 2005 and 2009, would be so good to see the boys lifting the urn at the Oval!!!
Come on England!

I often think that when the Hurling or Gaelic football is on the telly. Only the Oirish could get hockey, football and rugby mixed up !!!!

The fact they've won the toss already makes them warm favourites I reckon.

Anderson's already finding the edge; he will need to take wickets with the new ball or this could be a real slog.

After seeing the second ball edged over the slips I am not sure ! Looks quite pacy and lacking in grass so it should get easier to bat as the game progresses.
You going to Oval day 5?

Trent Bridge 4 & 5 and looking at other possibilities too; It depends on finances though as watching live test cricket when paying for two is a wallet killer.
Enjoy day five mate!
