But it would be if you had the government supporting you, wiping off debt and paying for the best players from all over Europe.

I just hope its nothing demoralising and deosnt affect our league form.

Just going to enjoy the game overall and hope they do well, one of the very few times id ever say that!
thats it, well done you have bought into the new Arsenal DNA where wining is irrelevant, and whats more important is picking up that half and half scarf.

Aaaah there it is! Apparently, Barcelona "have the government supporting them". That's right. Real Madrid - who actually sold their training ground to the government and are the Kings club don't get government support...Barca, a Catalan club that is anti-establishment are the ones receiving government favours :coffeespit:
Someone who doesn't have a clue about politics. Mind you, why not just invent cobblers in a bid to excuse Arsene eh? :roll

Agree though. Let's just "go out and enjoy the day".

We cannot compete against the government state aid (ignore that government state aid has ALWSAYS gone to Madrid and that Barca are actually in slight financial trouble at the moment)

:coffeespit:
Wow that Palace winner has really annoyed you hasn't it! Told you mate you lost all credibility on here weeks ago zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
And your credibiility BDB? Let's not forget your unholy triumverate :D . Say hello to Swale for us, we miss him

Your "let's just go and enjoy the game" sounds, well, like a tourist or someone impartial, not someone who should be representing our support with vociferous partisanship.

:(

Mate il be there and singing (one of the few that does in my area) - my point is usually I hate losing, hate defeat - I'm almost resigned to it tonight and ill enjoy watching one of the best football teams of the modern era live, if we can beat them - great! But unless its 5-0 whatever the score tonight we will go out second leg - shall I just sit here an moan? or go to the game that i've paid a hell of a lot for, and enjoy myself with beers and my mates?

As for that other joker, he lost all credibility on here after the Leicester game coming on and blowing his load over the spuds when the proper fans were enjoying a good moment - the bloke is a joke, you try and have reasoned conversation with him just turns to utter bile again! its so boring!

That's OK as everyday is a "Care in the Community" day when McDowell gets to amuse the masses with more of his "wit" and "intellect"
:barscarf:

How's the obsession coming along Stan? Eminem once sang a song about you.
Are you going to offer me out for another fight again?

a recap

Arsenal last 16 Champions League games

2011 lost 4-3 to Barcelona
2012 lost 4-3 to AC Milan
2013 lost on away goals (3-3) to Bayern Munich
2014 lost 3-1 to Bayern Munich
2015 lost on away goals (3-3) to Monaco

don't you ever question why you are paying the most expensive tickets in world football to watch a team which continually cannot get past this early stage of the Champions League?
it was in 2012 when I paid £80 for a ticket to watch AC Milan and we were 4-0 down after the first leg that I realised that I was being taken for a fool. it is a pity you have not woken up to this fact as you are one of the reasons why the club continually underachieves.

enjoy the game this evening

I hate it when Barca come over and use our own carpet against us!

It's like coming home from a tough long day at work, rushing to the toilet, and finding a random stranger taking a number two in your toilet.

There's an obvious answer to that one...I mean, if you don't even know that the central Spain government would never, ever assist a Catalan entity then how do you expect him to know this...

Think we may scrape a 2-1 defeat tonight. Fully expecting Suarez to get at least one

Yet again the club have played a blinder in managing fan expectations on this one. A 2 or 3 nil defeat tonight will be met with a mere shrug of the shoulders from the adoring masses. At least they didn't have to pay the extra 30 quid on the ticket price I suppose so it can still be considered a moral victory.

Then again if there's barely a murmur of disconnect by being hammered 4 nil by Southampton why would anyone be bothered by being battered by Barca?

Thought I must be on the FCB website with all the score forecasts for this evening. They're a great team, but they have conceded goals in most of their Liga matches, against very mixed opposition. I reckon we'll get a couple, then it's down to how many we concede. Could well start with Coq and Flamini to stop the service getting through to their strikers, which won't find favour with many, but you just never know. Sanchez will be seriously up for it for sure. I like his combination with Nacho down the left side, which could be key.

Famous last words - Mertesacker to play out of his skin.

Not usually this nervous three hours before ko...am heading there early, so I won't be anxious about the traffic as well.

It never ceases to amaze me how Wenger supporters just blatently make up lies and shit to defend him :|
Anything, anything at all. Just throw it out there, create a distraction. :|
