Watford H Sat 2nd April 15.00

Shambles at the back again. The Pot & the Post drifting aimlessly around the halfway line watching us defend.

We start well and score early for once and I'm struggling to get a stream working, so I missed the first 15 minutes. Just my luck! :banghead:

Always great to see Sanchez score and Iwobi is starting to look pretty good, though I do fear that The Old Fraud will ruin him somehow. We can't have players passing forwards and shooting on goal, FFS. It's almost a shame he's locked into playing for Nigeria now, so if he does make it here, we'll be losing him for the Africa Cup of Nations every other year in the middle of the season. Iwobi is also building a decent partnership with Welbeck, so you just know that they will rarely play together if TOF can avoid it.

Elneny is looking decent, although he is already being forced to pass backwards because no-one ahead of him is showing for the ball as usual. It seems we can never play direct for very long and we are reduced back to sideways mode again. Our sideways football is a little more tolerable if we are actually leading (it's great for timewasting, naturally), but I absolutely hate it when we start games that way or are looking for a goal. The second half was more dull sideways showboating when we should have been looking to score even more goals to improve the goal difference. Watford were allowed more chances. At least we got a couple of goals in the second half, eventually.

It does seem we are in our standard flat track bully mode for our glorious run to the VT. It's a shame that we couldn't have taken the FA Cup game - or our miserably failed title challenge - a little more seriously. Typical that we only show up when the pressure is off. Could we finally claim the second place trophy for the first time in eleven years? :barscarf:

'An easy goal for someone with the calibre of Walcott,' said the commentator. Seriously, do these people watch the players at all? The hard work was done by others, feo wouldn't have worked a ball into the box like that.

Thought Campbell did more when he came on than Theo and Giroud combined even if Theo was the one who scored

It's very infuriating, we are not ruthless enough. Should have asked for a stream I've had a fairly decent one.

As I said, it was Campbell's work in the box to create the chance, Wally is incapable of doing what Campbell did.
