As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
These days it has to be a deliberate attempt to stop the player with no intention of playing the ball. That was clearly not the case there. Never ever is with us.
What i will say is that there can't be another team where the VAR checks are over so quickly. I can just imagine now if that was the vermin or heaven forbid the Mickeys.....we'd still be reviewing the incident from the 18th angle.
Yep. That was terrible. Didn't even bother to look properly and why they haven't overturned that red card, I have no fucking idea other than pure cheating.
The fucking moron referee in the BT studio just clarified if you accidentally clip the player it's a penno and a red. If you clean him out it's a penno and a yellow. Game is fucked.
How on earth hasn’t that Luiz red card been referred by VAR to the pitch side monitor? No way is it a clear and obvious red card. Let the ref see it again ffs. Madness that VAR dealt with that so quickly!
Arsenal have been really good first half. Unbelievable that it’s turned around so quickly
Accidental contact but had to be a penalty - not sure what story is with that double jeopardy rule cos I have never heard a case where it has been used
My gut reaction to that whole incident is where luiz was in relation to holding - dunno who was at fault, but it seemed like luiz was 10 yards ahead of holding, and that left a soft spot where wolves caught us.
No doubt smith-rowe will be subbed now for gabriel

The studio "experts" are saying there was no effort to play the ball, which is technically correct....as for the "deliberate attempt to stop the player"...no mention of that. The "expert" upshot of their 10 second deliberation??? ......"Harsh but fair". Well alrighty then!!
I know every fan reckons their club is unfairly treated by the officials but fuck me what’s going on with us for years is a total disgrace.
Every match thread I’m commenting on how badly we’re treated by the refs, when it’s happening week in week out it becomes less of a coincidence and more and more sinister.
I still maintain it goes back to the shit Wenger used to give refs and 4th officials all game, they’ve had it in for us since.

Because if you "clean him out", you are attempting to play the ball. Make sense now? No, me neither....
