As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I wouldn't go that far. We have had a poor start yet we are 4th, only two points behind the leaders and we above Man United and Spurs.
Would you of taken that at the start of the season... Actually scrap that... forget about the Hull game and just read the previous bold statement... Would you take that now?
No, I wouldn't have taken 4th place now, because we had a piss easy start to the season, and I actually expected us to hit the ground running... but we've lost to Fulham and Hull... and we're not even out of September yet FFS!
Whereas ManU Chelsea and Liverpool have all had tricky starts and have played each other, we've not even played anything that resembles a decent team yet, and we still f*cked it up!
I guess it all depends on expectations. If you consider us as title contenders, then clearly we've had an awful start.. but in the context of finishing top 4 - which is more realistic - then we've had a good start.

no i wouldnt, because we have not played a single decent side yet,we should have had maximum points so far
what baffles me is that we have a player playing out of position on the left side of midfield and no cover for that position at all. Why would you not have Wilshere on the bench, at the very least, to provide cover for a positon already being covered?
If this was mentioned in this thread earlier sorry - I have not read a paper, looked on the net or spoken about this game since I left the ground.

I can assure you that he's scored those type of goals before. If not then surely you've seen our defenders (and I use that term loosely) at set-pieces in the past?
The truth is we weren't unlucky, we were just plain shit. We didn't force their keeper to make a save until around the 80th minute!! This is at home!! To fecking Hull City!! Sorry matey, but I'm not having that one at all.
Yes, fortuitous! Despite Geovannis obvious talent, I doubt he will find the same spot of the net again for the rest of his career. It was a stunning strike.
But you're right, perhaps unlucky isn't the right word to describe our performance overall. I was trying to get more to the point that our finishing/touch/hunger was not present amongst too many players and that strikes me as being horribly unfortunate!
It can't be allowed to happen again, that's twice already this season - 2 times too many for my liking

Last year we were all already rushing forward! I don't know why but I have the feeling that this year, the middle ranked teams look much more solid than last year. The gap between the top4 and the other teams look much smaller.... Well... Except for Totthenham.
We struggled against the "lesser" teams last year we dropped 4pts against Birmingham who went down and 5pts against Boro. Its an attitude thing we should treat games v Hull and Fulham like games v Man Utd and Chelses

All pretty true, I have agreed with people that a 'First-Class' centre half would cost us dear, even after the Helb, etc left.
Makes me so angry when we had the opportunity in the summer to consider the options.
