But we would have to tweak the team to suit this style of play and we know AW does not change things no matter who is in the squad or what opposition we are against. :banghead:

I did think about that myself and I did also consider the possibility that he was buying for the here and now like ferguscum did in his last season (a point that was also suggested by someone else in the previous page). I do think that the notion that le cock is willing to change his tactics next season is way beyond ridiculous because the c.unt just does not do that

While there are better strikers out there that we should be trying to obtain the services of, I think that Vardy could be a good signing for us. I'm not exactly buzzing obver the news but if you consider the fact that Vardy seems to excel when playing off the shoulder of the last defender and we have players like Ozil, Sanchez and Cazarola who can give him that killer pass that will undoubtedly create chances for him. As others have said, Xhaxa seems to enjoy a long ball now and then and Vardy, used to a long ball system, could be the type of player who can benefit from it. Notwithstanding his age, we could get a good three years out of him. Wright came to Arsenal at 28, so 29 doesn't mean his career is dead and buried and while there is a risk that he is a one season wonder, at £20m it's not a lot when you consider that he is a PL winning striker who scored prolifically last year.

With that being said, we should still sign Icardi. A dangerous, young striker who will certainly be more of a long term solution than Vardy.

What racist comments has he made? I hardly think that in a multi cultural team like Leicester that Vardy would say anything prejudiced.

We need a striker, it's a season late but it's better to get someone like him rather than go another season with the french porn star up front!
All that 'jog on jap, fuck off Jap' stuff last summer. He just reminds me too much of John Terry, Jodie Morris and that lot.

Why are Arsenal even considering signing Vardy?! He is a snide, diving cheat, and in my opinion a one season wonder.
They would be better adding another £10 million to the reputed £20million price tag and going after Alexandre Lacazette, who is younger, and in my opinion better.

Seriously if we can offload that sick note for mega bucks it will make my summer. Fingers crossed he has a decent Euros and his ankle made of cornflakes isn't discovered during the medical 8)

Absolutely. Why ignore signing a striker for years and then get Vardy? He's every reason why Wanker hasn't signed an 'in-form' striker before. He would have claimed that the player wasn't proven, hadn't played in Europe, hadn't done it regularly and made some snide remark about how he'll wait until next year to see what he's done. Now, we're ready to spend money on someone who is average at best. There is no way in the world that any ambitious club would buy him. He's a Liverpool or scum signing. A Robbie Keane, an Andy Carroll, Darren Bent, Ricki Lambert, Charlie Adam. Nothing more.
My suspicion is that Wanker knows he can't fuck-up another transfer window and do nothing to sign a striker so instead of actually trying to target someone and convince them to come, he's gone for an easy option. It's another player that won't cross him, won't stand up to him, won't make him feel threatened. Vardy would just be happy to be at Arsenal and won't rock the boat in a way that Higuan, Benzema, Cavani or Lacazette might. It reminds me of some story from years ago when GG sent scouts to Euro 92 and the only name they came back with, apart from John Jensen, was Gary McAllister.
Jamie fucking Vardy. I bet Ozil and Sanchez are thrilled to bits right now.

At least he is replacing a lamp-post which [Ozil and Sanchez use as a rebound wall] with someone with speed, finishing and mobility.

Abso-fucking-lutely 8) He is country miles ahead of EVERY SINGLE STRIKER we have - are we that snobby that we think buying at Leicester is beneath us ?? Tell me a realistic world class striker that any of ye can see us signing under this French pr*ck ? He is as good as we are gonna get and he will bring pace and goals to a team that has f.uck all of either, and £20m-£25m isn't severe
Agreed, he will bag plenty of goals and is definitely a big upgrade on what we have, the money is peanuts too, can't believe some posters, we look like signing a proven PL goalscorer and its still not good enough, obviously I'm not counting the troll

This bid seems suspicious to me. Doesnt seem like a Wenger type target and doesnt have his dithering, low-ball fuck about modus operandi.

Got a feeling Gazidis is behind this. I sincerely hope so. It will indicate that he is growing increasingly frustrated with Wenger and all the bad PR recentley and will fracture their relationship further.

Wengers last season lads. Rejoice!

Really, I always think ozil wants to replace players as quick as possible, unfortunately he rarely gets the movement or pace in front of him to do this, Vardy will bag 25 plus goals with ozil behind him and I would put a few quid on it.

Agreed agreed. :D We have to be pragmatic. Is Vardy an improvement on what we have? Neither Giroud nor Welbeck will regularly (if ever) hit at least 20 PL goals a season. Feo ain't a striker - fuck it, he ain't a footballer, he's a sprinter - so rule him out.

There is a risk that Vardy has just had the Rob Lee season, but fuck it, take the risk, do something that might work! Personally, I think we should be taking Fat Tongue off the vermin, but Vardy feeding off quality balls from Ozil and (hopefully) Xhaka could work. Certainly worth a punt.

This ^. Our shit system and our average/poor strikers affect Ozil's game negatively. If he has a fast striker in front of him that wants to get on things quickly, Ozil has the vision and speed of thought to deliver.

I guess we are signing Vardy because the bigger targets will go to United, Chelsea or City. It's not a bad short term solution he had a great season and if it turns out to be a one season wonder then they won't make the movie Vardy The Arsenal Years. :barscarf:

Just got talking to a lad in our local shop,(he asked me about Vardy when he saw I was wearing an Arsenal polo shirt). He agreed with me that we shouldn't go near him, then informed me that the scum are in for Lacazette and Griezman! :banghead: If this is true then it highlights our manager/boards lack of ambition. :banghead:

Be realisitc we are not going to get Higuain , Suarez etc . Vardy would do the job for 2/3 seasons and is a huge step up fom Giroud who is shite and Wellbeck is out until Feb .

Having said that we won't sign him .
