Bravo Cesc , you made all the difference , with a good repertoire of all that makes him the player we can't afford to lose . Puyol had Rvp in his pocket all night and summed up an overall disappointing personal WC for him .
Webb , what a Tosser
Thats the worrying thing, RVP was shit all World Cup. For the last 3 seasosns i have always felt RVP is over rated. When you compare him to Bendy, Vela , Eduardo and then Adebarndoor and the Beast he is far better. However thats not exactly hard!
I stil dont think RVP is not and never will be a 30 goal+ a season kind of striker. Nor is Bendy, Eddy, Vela
Agreed Mikeyb , None of the above three plus Rvp COMBINED will get us
30 Goals a season. It's bad enough when you have the likes of Darren Bent for example bagging more than what our Guy's can do and until we have a Proven Striker , we aren't going to be challenging for anything

I agree with much of what you write augie but I can't share your bitterness tonight. Holland were Stoke and Spain were The Arsenal tonight  .

Our captain has the biggest trophy in the world in his hands and has to come back to our club and instill that winning mentality to our squad.

Just tonight fuck the board and the investment and the AW spin. It's great to see our skipper with that trophy. I want to see him influence our squad next year in a way nobody has since TA. :barscarf: :barscarf:

People can talk about how thuggish the dutch were and I wouldnt disgaree but how many cynical fouls did that useless busquets c**t give away without being booked ?
Shit world cup epitomised by a shit final with a shit referee and a shower of c**ts winning it

PS Cesc get your catalan arse back to norf london and sort out your future NOW and stop fannying around with a team that dont trust you to start
Thought I was the only one getting really peed off with Busquets. He was worse in the game against Paraguay but never getting booked because he is an ickle lickle Spanish tippy-tappy player and they would never do cynical fouls would they

One good thing came out of it Howard Webb was shite too :D
I know it wasn't the greatest WC ever, but why does everyone just feel the need to knock this WC. I think it was better/on par with Germany 2006 and way better than Korea 2002 :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Only saying it how i see it Mega. i think barring a few games its been very negative and i think the cooler weather has enhanced the pressing that teams can do or more importantly has allowed them to continue it over 90 mins. I can honestly say i cant remember a worse world cup

I like your optimism, bet our captain hands in a transfer request in the next 7 days :x

Our bitterness is because those same challenges will be completely ignored by Webb when we play a Stoke/Blackburn/Manure with Scholes and Fletcher in mid field

I think thats wishful thinking CC. Fabregas had more influence during Euro 2008 which Spain won and then didnt instill this winning mentality into our average bunch of players so why would it happen now considering he has barely played this time too. Add to all that that Cesc will be gone in 2-3 weeks time it wount help Arsenal at all

1994 was an excellent world cup (final aside) there were goals flying in all over the place and shocks too like Bulgaria and Romania having good runs

I hope this week we have some good news on something! Worldcup is finished now so down to the real business!

Wenger makes shock bid for..................
an 8 year old African he found playing football in the road. Reports suggest Wenger will train the boy himself in his back garden and he will live with Wenger along with Denislon, Eboue and Andrey Arshavins Nan.

I think I've read that exact sentence topgoon on a Hull/Stoke website with the name Busquets replaced with a Gooner.

Tippy-Tappy is a derisory term that the whore/Ikea wife-beater patented to describe Arsenal. I prefer to use the word technique.

Holland acted like Thugs and came away with fuck all. Cesc is all smiles tonight and he is our club captain. I am absolutely de-fucking-lighted for him :barscarf:

He now needs to remind us how to win and I think he has the class to stay and do it. :D

Like with everything else you remeber the final more than the preliminaries. The final stunk the place out.

Flash, don't bring me down matey!!

I am off to bed in a moment with visions of Cesc spreading success through our club like a virus. If he leaves then I will resume my spot in the Muppet Show balcony. Until then.... :barscarf:

Two things, the first being it's tippy tappy if there is no end product and you lose to the bruisers, it's technique when you win and everybody ignores all that went before the winning goal/pass/etc.

Stop latching onto the Cesc thing, the win gives him and the rest of the Barca slime reason to agitate a move away.

I say,Thank you Cesc, enjoy Barca being screwed by Jose till he heads off to Manure, Good luck and make sure our £50 million cheque doesn't bounce.

I have to disagree Flash...the winter weather is "partly cloudly with rain/ heavy rain". I live in SA and had to work through the night on monday night(5 July) and since it's supposed to be the middle of winter, I went kitted out. I ended up working outside on a generator at 3 in the morning with just a T shirt on, the lowest temp that night was 19 degrees.South Africa doesn't get the cold horrible european weather.
