ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

I hope we sign Zinchenko and Tielemans, I'll be pretty happy with the window with that, and if we can also ship out a few duds including.....Pepe and Xhaka for instance!

BUT.......I'm still worried sick about our strikers......if Jesus is out for 3 or 4 months we just have the Feather FFS, rumours seem to suggest Balogun will go out on loan. Unless he plans to use Gaby in the middle which would be about time!! But we can't go into a season with just Jesus and Eddie as our recognised strikers......

I’m actually genuinely excited about the imminent transfer of Zinchenko. This is a top class defender at an age where he should be approaching his peak.
Just been on the City forum - the view appears to be that we have got a good deal at £30 million.

I dont know if Zinchenko will improve us particularly much however i do know he is not a replacement for Cunty Bollocks and therefore does not address the single biggest issue we have. I'll repeat myself yet again, all these purchases are absolutely pointless (see what i did there) if Xhaka plays, he is the single biggest calamity in the PL nevermind at Arsenal, his attitude, his ability and his professionalism are so poor that immediately he steps on the pitch we are down to 10 men, it is telling that a number of times he has been sent off we have played better with 10 men...... :banghead:

Only when he is gone can we realistically take stock of whether any of these purchases improve us in comparison to the teams above us, how many points did Xhaka cost us last season never mind his whole career with us, where would we have been without him playing :rubchin:
We all can see it...why cant arteta....its an absolute fuckin mystery

Everton and Newcastle had an interest in him too ,how strong the interest was I don't know but there was interest
OK ...but no actual offers from other clubs then

so hes left sided defensive midfielder or left back then...could be useful to provide balance and cover

Both Jesus and Zinchenko are far different to us getting ex Chelsea players at the end of their careers - Luiz, uuuurrgh, Cech, uuuurgh, Willian, uuuuurgh

They are both still still young, approaching their peak years, with a shit load of experience in winning trophies 🏆
With the squad we now have a team that could stay stable for the next 5 years, (Saka resigning dependant )

And maybe this was Arteta’s “project” to create a team that will stay together over 5/6/7 seasons ?
In the hope that they gel, while other teams constantly change (Mancs, tiny totts etc not just squad but manger too)

Add Tielemans in on top and we have a very capable squad - nowhere near the title, but definitely good enough for top 4 and after that it’s can we attract the top, top, super quality to make the next step (jump) up.

Maybe I’ve got heatstroke ?

Arsenal have turned down an offer from Fulham of around £10m for Bernd Leno.

Arsenal’s counter proposal is understood to be around £15m.

Tielemans our way and Pepe to them would be good news for us and probably relegation for them.

Tielemans our way and Pepe to them would be an awesome piece of business for us.

I wondered 'why' they were monitoring him because he's such a useless piece of garbage why anyone would have any interest in him is beyond me.

he has to be the biggest waste of £72m ever.

Finally a viable alternative to Xhaka. Zinchenko also should go straight to the first team unless we sign Tielimans. As for Xhaka, its better to keep him than sell. We need numbers to play the season. Xhaka is still better than Lokonga. I also have a feeling Bellerin will stay and play out his last season. With the 5 subs rule it will be better to have more players than less.
