Then you are not aware of what Koscielny actually said in this article. He actually says that he believes Arsenal are showing ambition, but if they werent then he would be looking elsewhere by now. That article is just an example of what the media do best, create a headline implying a certain meaning to draw in readers, but then write an article contradicting it.
This is not a dig at you but next time you should read the article before going off on one and turning on one of our own players.
No i hadn't read your link but had actually read it on the Daily Mail site and only came on to the forum because I was fuming. I NEVER comment on sh*t without reading it first. The key word in the line you've quoted is YOUR LINK.
Do you honestly think it's alright for a contracted player to say give me the means to win trophies or else when he is one of the many reasons we haven't won one. The Daily Hate Mail headline which it was on their site at 4pm today is actually pretty close to what he said. Do you honestly believe his performance in the time he's been with us merits him mouthing off like that...

Doesn't my post sound like someone who has actually read something about what's being discussed but not the actual link

It is a slow news week for Arsenal, though there is enough going on elsewhere with the England games, Falcao, Neymar and Navas transfers, Mourinho back at Chelsea and the under-21 Championships in Israel.
But a serious dearth of Arsenal news.
So a dull interview where the player says what players say in 90% of interviews "I have no plans to leave, but if we do not have success eventually I may have to reconsider" is spun into more than it deserves.
Why let your heart skip a beat over it?

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
This being the same bloke that confirmed (not even claimed or suggested) that Arsenal had tabled a 25 mil euro bid for Jovetic and then a week later had agreed terms with Cesar with a deal to be announced imminently. Just how much bullshit does one person have to part with before losing ALL credibility?mcdowell42 wrote:18 year old striker “@tancredipalmeri: Arsenal signed Mitrovic from Partizan, according to Sky Italy”
Regarding Kos it does grind a bit that a bloke who has been underwhelming until the last few months appears to be talking as if he's better than the club, and it does make me chuckle a bit that after a few good months he's now supposedly Barca and Bayern's top target. Although I do agree with Quartz that it's largely misinterpreted 'filler' (lots of column inches to fill with no major tournament and no transfer sagas having kicked off yet).
Although yet again an unsavoury incident stemming from a player talking to foreign media - when will clubs/players learn.

Aah Chippy I was enjoying that very long rant about the wrong player![]()

Your point is taken though about how we need to sign world class and we can't afford to wait on development. I forget it's not the days of having 3-4 great strikers at once anymore, like a mature Henry and young RVP. Instead we have the French Bobby Zamora and 3 or 4 pseudo-wingers. So I admit, although I may really like Michu, we should sign Higuain or Villa to best safely suit the clubs needs.

I presume we are talking about mcdowell here ?

Quartz, whilst I havent joined in with the throwing venom at kos, I have to say that I dont agree with you suggesting that it is a non story. Fact is that just 3 years ago he was a nobody plying his trade and now he feels qualified enough to suggest his needs to go elsewhere to gain successes ? It is only through a major dearth at centre halves in france that he can even be classes as an international defender and maybe just maybe he would be better concentrating on eradicating those major fcuk ups which still exist in his game, before suggesting anything like that to the media ? Lets face it, he looked anything but an international defender alongside tv5 earlier in the season

This is not something I say lightly cos I am a kos fan but nothing excuses these comments imo

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
Koscielny story is a non-issue.
Media hyping it up, he wants to win things in his career - dont we want players that want to win rather than bumble along taking the money?
If we compete he stays, if we dont he will go somewhere we he has more of a chance to win trophies.
He wants exactly the same as us.

You are being selective in which comments you want to read there bdb - if he had of said something along the lines of how desperate he wants to win things at AFC and left it at that then everything would have been A1 but to then start mouthing off saying that he might need to move elsewhere to win medals is out of order imo

Re: SUMMER TRANSFER THREAD
If the reported comments are accurate then he can go and fuck off back to Poland or wherever he is originally from, that's the only way he will play in a title winning team. If he thinks he will ever be good enough to figure as a top Eurpoean title winner, then he is as fucking deluded as he is average.augie wrote:Bendtners Drinking Buddy wrote:Koscielny story is a non-issue.

)

He should be careful what he fucking well wishes for, if Wenger did show some real ambition in the transfer market, then that would involve bringing in a couple of top class center backs, which would have the error prone Koscielny relegated to the bench.

One half decent season from this arsehole and he is calling the shots, lets not forget it was he and fellow pole Scez' Wembley comedy fucking capers, that probably put paid to any chance he had off winning something at Arsenal.

Augie
Herd had made a thread about Koscielny, but I stand by it being a non-story.
He wants us to sign good players and challenge for titles.
He is ambitious.
Good!
