To celebrate this amazing contribution to the discussion, I am going to celebrate our multi cultured society by ordering a Chinese Takeaway for lunch. Crispy Duck anyone?

Isn't it funny how the Brexiteers jump on their high horse, when this country is described as small in relation to the new world order. Still living in the days of the British Empire, some people are me thinks.

This week we where relegated to the 6th largest economy in the world, thanks to our weak currency. I mean come on even AW isn't that bad!

I am sure Gunner Rob has a more geographic take on world affairs, and he actually talks sense, so I will not rise to your little dig lol!...

The only market nut flush knows about is the one he buys his fruit n veg at . He fails to tell you the reason why the pound has fallen so much in the last 10 years . Interest rates . The moron that was gordon brown brought them down to zero and the pound promptly dropped like a stone . forcing people into spending their money in other ways. the effect has been catastrophic and has directly led to the impovershment of large sections of the population. The ridiculous hong kong style property boom has meant that the very rich have got richer and made slaves of the rest of us. when i bought my first house in 1984 i was 26 and its price was twice my salary . the young guys in my office that i train are the same age live in rented accomadation which they share with 3 or 4 others and dont have a hope in hell of getting a house or flat as it would be 20 times their salary. they pay 50 pct of their salary for this privelege. thats fucked up but thens so is this country. staying in europe will only dragged is further into the quagmire.

Any nation or remoaner that throws good money after bad needs their head examined as in the Greek Tragedy, come on, it's economics innit peeps!..

Wow economic theory written by the Herd, this is something else.

Firstly, Gordon Brown didn't reduce interest rates it was the Bank of England, which became operationally independent of government in the late 90s. So today Mark Carney and the MPC is responsible for setting interest rates, not Phillip Hammond or Theresa May. You can blame Gordon Brown for a lot, but putting the collapse of the pound on his head over the last decade is a bit strong, especially as he left office 6 years ago.

Interest rates where brought down to 0.5% not zero, and that was off the back of the banking crisis. This said crisis was a global phenomenon, not a British one. Every central bank reduced their interest rates, some have even gone negative this year. So if Japan has negative interest rates why is our currency tanking against just about every one including the Japanese yen? Another fundamentally flawed argument there herd I am afraid.

What has Hong Kong got to do with British property prices apart from they went up, lol. The reason our prices are sky high is because successive governments didn't build enough houses to satisfy demand, it's as simple as that. Pretty much every other developed country has suffered a property crash over the last 10 years, we are long overdue one. Be careful what you wish for.

I really think you should stick to reminiscing how you and your mates went round running half the firms in England/Europe in the 80s, because there is a good story to tell there. Sadly, you like many others just come out with hot air when it comes to debating the EU.

What has the Greeks got to do with us? Their economy is totally different, they paid their public servants ridiculous pensions from the age of 50. Are you or anyone else surprised the pack of cards came down.....

But yet again another irrelevant part of Britain being in the EU. There is no comparison, we didn't even bail them out.

The Greek disaster is hardly irrelevant if you are actually interested in considering the long-term viability of the EU.

In the context of reasons that we should be either in or out the EU it is, we made no contribution to the Greek bail out. It was the members of the European Monetary Union and the IMF that bailed Greece out, with a large contribution coming from Germany.

Greece is small fry compared with the likes of Spain and Italy, both of whom have had structural deficit problems. However. In recent years both countries have addressed this issue with the price of their government debt coming down significantly. In lay mans terms that means the cost of servicing their debts is now lower because they have spending under control.
