KROENKE OUT / The Board / Staff etc (merged thread)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

🚨 BREAKING from @DiMarzio:

Arsenal are thinking of Thiago Scuro to replace Edu Gaspar. 🇧🇷

The Brazilian is the director of AS Monaco and has worked for Red Bull. ✨

🚨 BREAKING from @SkySportsNews:

Arsenal executives are travelling to the United States this week to meet with the Kroenke family for talks focusing on the club’s summer transfer plans.

The Sporting Director and the January window are on the agenda.

Not Arsenal related but it could potentially end up being:

🚨 EXCL: Real Sociedad director of football Roberto Olabe to exit role in June 2025. Led #RealSociedad rise + player trading/development (Isak, Odegaard, Merino, Zubimendi etc). No job agreed but viewed among best around so will be in demand @TheAthleticFC

I never understood why they didn't make the height the same all the way round as it would've enabled more seating.

The Sun:- "Emirates Stadium's capacity currently stands at 60,704.

According to Bloomberg, they are interested in raising this number to around 80,000.

Club chiefs are said to be keen on making their home stadium even more lucrative on matchdays."

I could be wrong, but I seem to remember it was something about the ingress and flow of air to aid the grass on the pitch. Don't hold me to that.

Have to say that expanding the capacity again shows where our ownership's heads are at when it comes to ambition - my big gripe from day one of the grove was that the stands are too far away from the pitch and to me it showed that the focus was never on making our home stadium a cauldron or a springboard for future successes :( Absolutely kills me to say it, but the scum stadium is a far better job than the souless bowl and their priority was keeping their knuckle dragging scum as close to the action as possible to make it intimidating for opposition, but barring we totally rebuild one stand (wont happen in my lifetime) that ship has sailed for us

I'm all for expanding the stadium but why only do another 20000? Why not go for 100 000.
