o be fair though, plenty of ppl once thought Denilson looked a class midfielder, Clichy was "better than Cole", Vermaelen was "world class" and Almunia was to be England number 1!! This Koscielny one is new: from Lorient to top class, and all it took was conceding 49 goals in a season LOL
Erm what? I don't remember anyone saying this. Plus weren't you the one 2 weeks ago saying how good Clichy now looks at Man City. Almunia is roundly criticised by everyone. Denilson, while showing some sort of promise at first (like Clichy) never fulfilled that. You also miss out that the point was, he was one of the best, THIS SEASON. You can't pop Vidic in there, he's been fucked foir most of it. Pique plays in Spain. Just admit Koscielny has been one of the best defenders this season and then relax, you'll feel much better.

Mixed feelings about this. He's decent, but not much of a dribbler nor a finisher. I think that I would sell him as he isn't worth the 80-100k that he has allegedly asked for. However, if we lose him, I'd like to think that the Ox will get his place as he will be better.

That being said - please go and get De Jong. I'd love him in the squad. We have been needing a player like him for a while now - tidy - purely defensive and a hard man.

Walnut is, at best, a squad impact playing coming from the bench and isnt worth anywhere near 80k-100k per week. If keeping rvp was dependent on keeping this brainless fool and giving him 100k per week then rvp can fcuk off as far as I am concerned  If the chavs came in with a 20m bid then I would bite their hand off and use the cash to buy m'vila or martinez, or Llorente or somebody that would increase the quality of the team immensely 8)

I wouldnt shed a tear if walcott left.

But promotion from within is all that would happen so it's all shit anyway, and there's no point in going on.

I've been as frustrated as most by Theo's inconsistent performances but I think we should be careful wishing for his departure. Most wide players are inconsistent (if they beat their man every time and put in good crosses every time games would end six all) and the stats show that he was one of the most effective wide men. I know we should be suspicious of stats but he really did score those goals and make those assists.

I believe that one of the main doubts comes back to most of this group put together by Wenger, which is can they produce when it really matters, do they have that vital ingredient that real winners have? Or do they go missing and prove time after time their lack of individual responsibility and character.

This is the reason that Wenger will not put together another championship winning team unless he buys another 4 or 5 who have been trained and reared primarily at other clubs and not brought through the cosy comfort zone of the current Arsenal world.

Stats will also tell you that we dominate possession against other teams (except swansea of course   ) so it is natural then that walnut, like all of our players, will see more of the ball and will have more chances to produce something as a result. How much more freedom has playing alongside a world class centre forward who scores when he wants afforded him with every opposition focusing their attention on rvp ? We Gooners see walnut more than anybody else so we are all too aware how easy it is for opposition teams to nullify him in games and how poor his crossing ability really is and how frequently he leaves his full back exposed when he goes awol - how does all that show up in stats ? The media ***** themselves silly over songs passing on the back of a few top level assists but we see the whole games where he constatntly loses possession and goes awol so who is better qualified to judge ? We also see on a regular basis of limited feo is when it comes to taking on an opponent as his only trick seems to be kicking the ball past him and running after it like some demented jack russell  The ox, even with his limited experience and exposure, has shown more than enough to suggest that he has proper footballing intelligence and can actually take players on.

Look, walnut is probably worth keeping but only at his current wage level and sadly with just 1 year remaining on his current deal it is crux time......either stump up for a new deal with a big payrise that I dont feel is justified or accept that fact that he hasnt developed enough to justify his demands and sell him for big money if we can.

More of an Arsenal buy

Uzbekistan midfielder Odil Ahmedov is hoping Arsenal revive their interest in him this summer after revealing he is keen on joining the Gunners from Anzhi Makhachkala.
Ahmedov claimed last year that Arsene Wenger's side were chasing his signature but a move to the Emirates Stadium failed to materialise.
However the 24-year-old, who joined Russian giants Anzhi in February 2011 from native side Pahktakor Tashkent, has not given up on joining the Premier League club.
He told regnum.ru: "I'd like to try out playing football in England and the team I favour the most is Arsenal."
Ahmedov, who primarily plays as a defensive midfielder but has also been used as a centre-back, says he is pleased with his progress in Russia but could be tempted by a move to La Liga or the Premier League if a club comes in for him.
"I'm satisfied with my own performance in the Russian league but if there is an offer from Spain or England then I won't say no," he added.
Ahmedov was voted Anzhi's best player of 2011, ahead of Samuel Eto'o and Yury Zhirkov.
Arsenal could see him as an alternative to Rennes holding midfielder Yann M'Vila, with whom they have been heavily linked.

Walnutt is shite.
However. When will ppl learn?
"Sell him for 20m" - which means that added to the £25 mil from RVP it will be another summer of profits.
Don't care who it is YOU DO NOT SELL TO THE OPPOSITION.
Ffs look at Citeh and Chelski using Arsenal like a bitch slapping home jeeeez
